Fujifilm Philippines Inc. (FFPH), the Philippines subsidiary of Japanese multinational conglomerate Fujifilm continues to expand the presence of its medical imaging business in the country with the opening of its newest office in Makati City.
Located at 1009 Metropol building at Metropolitan Ave., Makati, the new office is the third since the company’s establishment in 2012, with its first teo offices located in Cebu City and Davao City. Mr. Masahiro Uehara, president of FFPH said the new facility will serve as a medical service center for diagnostic imaging machines or equipment, including ultrasound, x-ray machines, endoscopy, and other medical machines.
“We are thrilled to open our new office in Makati and to expand our support for the healthcare sector in the Philippines. Our advanced diagnostic imaging solutions and comprehensive repair services are designed to meet the growing demands of the healthcare industry and to contribute to better patient outcomes,” he said.
The newly established office also has a state-of-the-art showroom designed to showcase Fujifilm’s advanced diagnostic imaging machines, including the portable x-ray systems, ultrasound machines, and other FDA-approved medical equipment.
Uehara noted that Makati was chosen as the site for the new office due to its status as a “Smart City,” a testament to its commitment to technological innovation and modern infrastructure. The city’s strategic location and advanced facilities also make it an ideal base for FFPH’s healthcare operations.
“In addition to serving as a repair and maintenance center, the facility will function as a hub for sharing the latest medical technology and knowledge to the Philippine market. Fujifilm will provide technical training, not only to our valued dealers but also to doctors and medical students, fostering a collaborative environment to “co-create” new value. This office will provide a venue for Fujifilm and its stakeholders to develop innovative solutions together,” he stated.
Mayor Abby expressed her enthusiasm for FFPH’s expansion in Makati, highlighting the significance of the new office in advancing healthcare technology in the region.
“We are honored to welcome Fujifilm Philippines to Makati as they continue to lead in healthcare innovation. This new facility is not just a testament to FFPH’s commitment to improving healthcare in our country. The mayor also emphasized the importance of collaborations between the public and private sectors in achieving a healthier future for all, noting that such partnerships are crucial in ensuring that Makati remains at the forefront of technological and healthcare advancements.
