‘Rachel has risen from the ranks and is now the president of AutoFlare, which is the trading partner of AutoIcon’
What is former Viva Hot Babe Rachel Villanueva doing at a car show?
Well, Rachel has found a new calling — and that is car sales.
Rachel said she started in the auto industry in 2015.
“I’m not getting any younger so I had to look for a more stable job,” she admitted.
From selling cars — her record was 30 cars sold in a month! — Rachel has risen from the ranks and is now the president of AutoFlare, which is the trading partner of AutoIcon.
The key to her success is caring for the customer, said Rachel.
Is she happy in the auto industry?
“Oh yes,” she quickly replied. She added she does not miss showbiz as the motoring industry is not just as exciting, but is “even better.”
Last Thursday, Rachel and the officers of AutoIcon, led by its president and CEO Dexter G. Co, unveiled the Iconic Drive 2022 at the Corte de las Palmas at the Alabang Town Center.

Jane Umali, former model and beauty queen, is proud to say that she’s making her very first movie, and at age 50. This is via the short film “Paghilom,” written and directed by Danni Ugali and produced by Nette dela Rea.
Jane, who was second runner-up in the 1989 Mutya ng Pilipinas, has four grown-up daughters, one of them following in her footsteps in the beauty pageant world. In “Paghilom,” she is teamed up with Tony Boy dela Rea, a former model and member of the Bayanihan Dance Company who followed an acting career, despite his family’s opposition. He made several movies, some under Seiko Films where he appeared with popular stars like Rosanna Roces.
Nette dela Rea, who was a former commissioner of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and who became the dean of the UE Graduate School in 2010, has very high hopes for “Paghilom.”
The film is shot entirely in Silang, Cavite where the Dela Reas have their own farm. The producer said she wants the viewers to see the natural beauty of the place.
“Paghilom,” the producer added, is a legacy she wants to leave to the world for its timeliness and relevance. “And I want to do it at this time before Tony Boy gets too old to do it to make ‘bawi’ for the time I opposed vehemently his going into showbiz. At that time too, we were too poor to support his dream. Now, we were able to sell some pieces of real estate properties, and I want to use the money for a worthwhile purpose — as a legacy.”
