Magaling siya,” said Sunshine Cruz of co-star Maricel Laxa, who plays an antagonist in “Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune.”
“Well, she (Maricel) was honest and frank with me, when she told me to be patient with her, as the series is a comeback of sorts for her,” the actress continued. “She was encouraged nga lang daw by her son (actor Donny Pangilinan) to do the series, as nagandahan ito sa script nang kanyang mabasa.
“And is she glad daw that she said yes,” she added.
Sunshine and Maricel both started as Regal Babies. Maricel, however, bid showbiz goodbye when she tied the knot with Anthony Pangilinan and the kids came one after the other.
Aside from Donny, the Pangilinans have another son and three daughters.
Meanwhile, Sunshine is separated from actor Cesar Montano, with whom she has three daughters. Two of their children, Angeline and Sam, are in showbiz.
Sunshine is now in a relationship with businessman Macky Mathay, who treats her daughters as his own.
Macky is the son of former Quezon City Mayor Ishmael Mathay.

Before being paired in the primetime soap of GMA, “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon,” young stars Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara did not really know each other very well.
But they have worked together in variety shows, “Studio 7” and “All-Out Sundays.”
“But as we got close sa ‘I Left My Heart,’ sabi namin sana magkaroon ito ng kasunod,” said Mavy.
Of course, they doubt if it will happen soon. Individually, they are two of the busiest in GMA 7.
“Kahit kanino kasi pwede silang ipareha. Pareho din silang magaling,” said a kibitzer, “at parehong marunong makisama.”
Mavy is one of the twins of Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villaroel. His sister is Cassy. Their lolo, Zoren’s dad, is the late Lito Legaspi, who was considered as one of the best and the handsomest actors in Sampaguita Pictures.
