Actor Albert Martinez enjoys playing Lolo Yaya to his grandkids to the hilt
Albert Martinez would rather not comment whether he will marry again.
The actor’s wife, Liezl Sumilang, passed away six years ago.
“Time will tell daw,” said his talent manager, Shirley Kuan (SK). “Wala naman akong nababalitaang nililigawan niya sa kasalukuyan.”
Right now, Albert, who is turning 61 on April 19, is busy with his new series for GMA, “Las Hermanas,” with Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
On days when he is not busy, Albert looks after his cars. He has 31 in his collection, of different makes, brands and colors.
“They are all in one garage,” said SK. “Talagang inaalagaan kaya akala mo mga bago kahit ‘yung mga luma na.
“But he is happiest when he plays Lolo Yaya to his three apo, courtesy of his three children, Alyanna, Alfonso and Alisa. Ang ku-cute pa naman,” she continued.
His children have their own homes, but they each have their own one-bedroom pads in their family’s compound, courtesy of Albert, of course.

Guess who took care of actress Cherry Pie Picache in the three weeks that she battled with Covid-19.
“It was a scary period in my life,” said the actress. “Kaya I felt so grateful na ‘di ako iniwanan ni Nio (her son).
“He was not with me in my room, of course, pero sapat nang malaman kong he was around.”
Nio’s real name is Jose Antonio Tria, the son Cherry Pie with her ex-partner, cinematographer Gary Tria.
Cherry Pie is a part of “Walang Hanggang Paalam” with Paulo Avelino, Zanjoe Marudo, Arci Muñoz and Angelica Panganiban.

With or without a confirmation, eagle eyed viewers have seen Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola sporting a ring on their ring finger.
And Luis’ mom, Lipa Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto, is said to be super happy about the new development in the couple’s lives.
“Matagal nang itinataboy ni Ate Vi si Luis na mag-asawa, as he is turning 40 on April 21. And Daddy Edu (Manzano) nya rin. Gusto na nila pareho na magkaapo.”
It is said that the family of Jessy is also eager to see her settle down. They all say that Luis will make a good husband.

Days before 32nd birthday, Derek Ramsay has already given girlfriend Ellen Adarna a surprise.
Elias, Ellen’s two-year old son with John Lloyd Cruz, was with them.
Seeing their photos together, it’s obvious that Derek dotes on the boy.
“Tinuturing niyang anak ang bata,” said the couple’s friend, “Na halatang close na close na rin kay Derek.”

Couple Dindgdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are said to be eager to give their daughter Zia and son Ziggy a sibling.
“Kung sabagay ang gaganda nga naman ng mga anak nila,” said an observer. “At ang babata pa, kumikita na sa mga endorsements.”
It is common knowledge that Marian backed out of “First Yaya” because she wants to be with her family.
Sanya Lopez, who has replaced Marian, is winning kudos for her portrayal of Yaya Melody.

Dingdong is happy to be learning a lot from his own series, GMA’s “Amazing Earth.”
“Ang rami kong natutuklasan tungkol sa mundo,” he said. “At ganun din ang alam kong pakiramdam ng mga nanonood ng show. Lalo ‘yung mga bata.”
Aside from “Amazing Earth,” Dingdong will be seen in “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real,” which also stars Maricel Soriano and Lovi Poe and is directed by Andoy Ranay.
“Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real” was released in 2014 and is now being shown again on GMA.
