LJ REYES and PAOLO CONTIS
Until a few months ago, it had never occurred to LJ Reyes that her relationship with Paolo Contis would end in a breakup.
She had thought that they would grow old together. Paolo was loving, sensitive to her needs and a good provider. He was great as a dad, too.
LJ and Paolo have one daughter, Summer. LJ also has a son, Aki, by actor Paulo Avelino.
Paolo just started to seem distant late last year, said LJ. In her interview with Boy Abunda, she related: “Kasi matagal ko ng nararamdaman na parang nakahiwalay na siya sa amin. Ramdam na ramdam ko po ‘yun….”

Paolo did a movie with Yen in Faroe Island. He continues to be a mainstay in the long-running Kapuso gag show, “Bubble Gang.” He also has a new series, “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon,” which was shot in Sorsogon with Richard Yap and Heart Evangelista, whose husband is the current governor of the province, Chiz Escudero.
Wonder what will happen next to Paolo. He has yet to break his silence about the separation, although it was him who first unfollowed LJ and also removed all her photos on his social media account.

Before confirming her separation with Paolo, LJ and her kids flew to New York to stay with her family.
She said she went there to protect her children and to have a chance to collect herself.
When she plans to return and resume work, she did not disclose.
As a single mom of two young kids, she will have a lot of considerations. First, she will have to decide whether she will continue to stay in the US or return to the Philippines. She will also have to think of who will take care of Summer and Aki. Though her family maintains a business in the US, they also have day jobs.

Regal matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde spotted a billboard along the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) complex. It had the photo of a pretty teener.
Upon arrival at her office in Regal, she ordered her staff to find some information on the beautiful girl.
Gretchen was only 14 years old then and could not talk in straight Tagalog, but Mother Lily always knew she had it in her to be a star.
Right there and then, Mother Lily offered Gretchen a contract, with her parents’ approval, of course.
She played the lead in her first film, “14 Going Steady,” directed by Joey Gosiengfiao.
