Sharon Cuneta may soon produce her own films. She may also star in them – but not necessarily as the bida.

“What I want,” she remarked with a smile, “is a say on the kuwento and the script.

“I will encourage new writers to submit their story or stories and script to me,” she continued.

“They need not worry. I’ll pay them well,” she added.

She considers her “Revirginized” director, Darryl Yap, a “great find.”

“When I was first presented by Boss Vic (del Rosario, producer of Viva Films) with the script of ‘Revirginized,’ I immediately said, I’ll do it,” she revealed. “I didn’t even ask who my co-stars will be.

“Well, Marco (Gumabao) delivered. Ang galing niya,” she gushed. “I will not mind working with him again.”

Sharon’s husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, has already seen “Revirginized.”

“So far, wala naman siyang comment,” said a kibitzer. “Pero, happy daw siya that the film got good reviews and doing very well.”

Asked to comment on Sharon’s scene with Marco, Senator Kiko reportedly merely smiled.

How sad to hear that diminutive comedienne Noeme “Mahal” Tesorera succumbed to COVID-19.

We just saw her in Jessica Soho’s show, “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” when she visited her screen partner, Mura, who now lives in Guinobatan, Albay.

Mura, who was involved in an accident, received money and groceries from Mahal. Mahal even promised Mura that she will return to Bicol to help him receive medical attention.

But, of course, that will not happen anymore.

Mahal was last seen on TV playing the sidekick of comedienne Ai Ai de las Alas in the series, “Owe My Love,” which featuted Lovi Poe and Benjamin Alves.

Kim Chiu is happy that boyfriend Xian Lim will be paired with Jennylyn Mercado in GMA’s upcoming series, “Love, Die, Repeat.”

Kim Domingo would have played Xian’s other leading lady, except that she tested positive for COVID-19. Myrtle Sarrosa has been tapped to take Kim’s place.

Speaking of Kim, she just laughed off the report that she will be eased out as host of “It’s Showtime,” now that Anne Curtis will be returning to the noontime show.

Kim has been a noteworthy addition to the show. And her following will surely miss her should she leave the program.

Hosting might not be her forte, but Kim received encouragement from Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, plus the rest of the show’s hosts.

Kim has been with “It’s Showtime” for more than a year now and she has found a family in the show.

“Well, I refuse to even consider the idea (of parting ways with ‘It’s Showtime’),” said Kim.

“Just the thought of it makes me cry.”

Now that their show, “The World Between Us” is on a break, Alden Richards misses his co-stars, including Jasmine Curtis Smith and Tom Rodriguez, but he is excited for his project with Bea Alonzo.

The film is Bea’s first project as a Kapuso artist after leaving ABS-CBN, which gave her her first break.
