‘She said she would no longer allow herself to be negatively affected by haters and she just wants to spread love and goodwill.’
SHARON Cuneta says she now wants to dwell more on good and positive things in her social media account, unlike before that she’s easily annoyed by bashers. Now, she posts pictures of lovely flowers, beautiful homes, picturesque castles and French country houses called chateaux that seem to fascinate her.
Someone commented it’s odd that she dwells on castles and chateaux when most people now just think of where they’re going to get their next meal. Napakarami nga pong gutom at naghihirap ngayon. Ang iba naman sa atin ay may malalaking problema sa ibang bagay naman po. Pare-pareho lang po tayo, magkakaiba lang ang mga kaso. God bless po. Makakaraos din tayong lahat.”
Unlike before when she easily answers back negative remarks from bashers, Sharon has now adopted a more conciliatory attitude. In her latest post, titled “Dear Bashers,” she said she would no longer allow herself to be negatively affected by haters and she just wants to spread love and goodwill.
Here’s what she wrote: “Bashers, ‘hi’ and ‘bye.’ Baka naman gusto niyo mag-subscribe, subscribe na lang kayo. Chill na lang tayo kasi na-immune na ako sa inyo.
“Tsaka easy lang, kasi may pandemiya na nga, baka tumaas pa ang presyon ninyo. Kasi ako, hindi na ako na-affect. Friends na tayo.”
She added that she plans to have spread good vibes in her YouTube channel. She wants to present musical numbers, possibly a mini-series with her BFF Judy Ann Santos, and inspirational pieces that will give hope and encouragement to all the viewers.

LJ Reyes and Paolo Contis just celebrated the fifth anniversary of their relationship. They really seem to be happy with each other and Paolo posted in his social media account five photos from each year of their being together. He then listed down the best qualities of LJ that he really appreciates. He wrote:
“Hindi alam ng tao kung gaano ako kahirap pakisamahan minsan (or madalas). They don’t know the things you have given up for me, they don’t know how strong you are, they don’t know na ikaw ang main ingredient ng bahay na ito kaya kaming lahat ay masaya at malakas. Marami pa silang hindi alam… pero lahat ng yan, ay alam ko! And I am so lucky and thankful!! I love you so much, Mahal ko!”
LJ wrote in return: “It’s such a difficult time we have now and all I can say is that there’s no other person I would want to go through this pandemic than you! Thank you for being patient with me and for being my source of strength I didn’t know I needed! I wish for more fruitful years with you and the kids! I love you @paolo_contis!”
LJ is so thankful that her son Aki (with Paulo Avelino as dad) is so close to Paolo. Aki also celebrated his 10th birthday recently and Paolo helped her celebrate the boy’s birthday with a simple party, even decorating their home festively. When Aki entered their lounge room, Paolo led in saying “Surprise!” Aki is so thankful as he got his present and birthday cake.

Pokwang says she’ll forever feel indebted to ABS-CBN who discovered her when she won in ABS-CBN’s search for new comedians, “Clown in a Million” in 2004.
“Bale 15 years na akong Kapamilya,” she says.
Kaya nagpapasalamat ako APT Entertainment, sa Archangel Media na talagang bukas po ‘yung pintuan nila for two new shows sa TV5.
“Buti na lang may sumalo kaagad sa akin kaya sobrang thank you po talaga. Napakalaki ng tulong na ito sa pamilya ko.”
Pokwang is in new two shows. First is the daily weekday morning show, “Chika, BESH,” with Pauleen Luna and Ria Atayde, with replays on Cignal TV. The second is “Fill in the Bank,” her game show with Jose Manalo, which is seen on Monday, Wednesday, Friday on primetime at 7:30 p.m. and where the winner wins as much as P150,000 per episode.

We last saw Cong. Alfred Vargas when he had a press con for his movie, “Tagpuan,” an entry in the supposed summer film fest last April that was shelved because of the pandemic. He was quite heavy then and he said he’s aware he’s overweight. We were surprised when we saw his latest photos in his social media accounts as he has obviously lost a lot of weight.
“I’ve lost more than 50 lbs. because of the lockdown, from 228 to 175,” he said. “While at home, I did a lot of workouts na sinabayan ko ng right diet. Almost five months na akong nagda-diet and exercise. With the lockdown, I also got to bond and spend more time with my wife Yasmine, and our three kids, Alexandra, Aryanna and Alfred Cristiano.”
As a stress-reliever, he also listens to music everyday. “Music has always been therapeutic for me especially this time that the stress the pandemic brings is quite overwhelming. I listen for about 20 to 30 minutes everyday, sometimes with my bunso, baby boy Cristiano.
He loves music as well and always dances to the beat.”
So what happens now to “Tagpuan” where he co-stars with Iza Calzado and Shaina Magdayao, written by Ricky Lee and directed by Mac Alejandre?
“We’re not sure yet,” he replied. “We’ll just have to wait and see. What we’re sure of is we have a very good movie we are all proud of. But as of now, we don’t know yet as to when the pandemic will end at kung kailan uli puedeng magbukas ang mga sinehan, so maghintay na lang tayo sa pagdating ng tamang panahon at ng tamang playdate.”
