RUFFA Gutierrez, 46, admitted she was at first reluctant to play the mother of Kathryn Bernardo in “The House Arrest of Us.”
“Kahit kapani-paniwala naman,” said a kibitzer. “Twenty-four years old si Kathryn. And one has to remember that DJ (Daniel Padilla, Kathryn’s boyfriend) is, in real life, 25 and is an inaanak sa binyag ni Ruffa.
“And is Ruffa glad she finally accepted the offer! Mabait daw si Kathryn at natsa-challenge daw si Ruffa tuwing magkaeksena sila, dahil magaling daw palang artista si Kathryn.”
Ruffa will be even busier after Christmas, as she is also in the cast of “Stay In Love,” an upcoming drama series on TV5 with Maris Racal, Kokoy de Santos, under the direction of Rod Marmol.

Speaking about Daniel, Ruffa says she considers him as one of her favorite “inaanak sa binyag.”
Ruffa and Daniel’s mom, Karla Estrada, are contemporaries and close friends.
Ruffa is a generous ninang, said Daniel. When he was young, he recalled receiving gifts from her even when there was no important occasion.
One time, she gave him money that allowed him to buy a pair of shoes which he long wanted to own.
He is glad they are finally doing a project together. He plays the fiancé of Kathryn in “The House Arrest of Us,” a digital series produced by Star Cinema.

Assunta de Rossi-Ledesma has given birth to her miracle baby on Friday, October 24.
The wonderful news was truly welcome not only by Assunta’s husband, former congressman Jules Ledesma, but also his two elder children and also Assunta’s parents and family.
Assunta and Jules waited for almost two decades for their baby girl, named Guilia Florentina Alessandra, who was delivered via Caesarian section in San Juan.
Alessandra will be one of the ninangs of her niece.

Most everyone are wondering if director Rico Gutierrez and Alessandra de Rossi are still together.
If they are, the next question in people’s minds is: When do they plan to get married?
Alessandra has never married, but she was in several long-term relationships in the past, including with Jeremy Marquez, Oyo Sotto, Polo Ravales, and Sid Lucero.
We are not aware that Rico got married. We know he has a child with actress-producer Harlene Bautista. The two separated and Harlene eventually married Romnick Sarmenta, with whom she is now separated.

GMA actor Rocco Nacino said it’s just a matter of time before he marries volleyball player Melissa Gohing.
“Sigurado na kami sa isa’t isa,” said Rocco, “I believe she would make an ideal wife for me. And an ideal mother to our children. At pag nag-u-usap kami, feeling ko iyon din ang nararamdaman niya tungkol sa akin.”
What are the couple waiting for?
“Ipon pa ng kaunti,” Rocco replied. “Kung anuman ang mga naipon ko na, nagastos ko ito sa pagpapagawa ko ng matitirahan din namin na bahay, in time.”
Rocco’s house is in a private subdivision in Antipolo City.
Rocco and Melissa share a love for plants, and plan to grow vegetables in their backyard.
