Back on TV and looking great is Janella Salvador, who is staging a comeback after giving birth to eight-month-old Jude her son with actor Markus Paterson.
She was in her element when she performed live last Sunday in “ASAP Natin ‘To,” considered the longest-running much-awarded musical variety show on ABS-CBN.
“Back to her old form din siya,” observed a kibitzer. “Na labis na ipinagmamalaki ng kanyang mother na si Jenine Desiderio, herself a singer and performer.”
Jenine, now 50 years old, played Kim in “Miss Saigon” in the United Kingdom.
Janella’s dad, of course, is band vocalist Juan Miguel Salvador.

Before Janella got pregnant, she appeared with cousin, Maja Salvador, Geoff Eigenmann, Joshua Garcia and former beauty queen, Lara Quigaman Alcaraz, in the top series, “The Killer Bride.”
The soap was aired for six months. And they all had a good time, Maja told us. They were all entrusted good roles.
Maja played an heiress imprisoned for her alleged murder of the character who played the bride. It was her last major project for the Kapamilya, as she is now with TV5.
“Maganda ang pag-alis ko sa Kapamilya,” stated Maja. “Naganap naman kasi ito after ma-deny ang application for the renewal of the franchise of ABS-CBN ng Congress.
“Nagpaalam ako nang mahusay sa mga kinauukulan,” she added.
The actress is now a talent manager, as she has put up a talent agency, Crown Asia Talent Management Agency, with her boyfriend, Rambo Nunez.
Crown’s first artist is John Lloyd Cruz.

Speaking of John Lloyd, we heard his sitcom involving Willie Revillame is not pushing through anymore. Instead, the comebacking actor will be appearing in a GMA 7 series.
Meanwhile, did we hear it right that Willie is seriously considering President Duterte’s suggestion that he run for a political position next year?
For Senator daw, we heard.
Willie has a lot of fans, as his show, “Wowowin Tutok To Win,” continues to do very well.
Everyone wonders how much Willie may be worth now.

There are also those who wonder how much the late President Noynoy Aquino was worth when he died.
“Basta, half of it his savings and properties, he gave to his favorite nephew (referring to Joshua, Kris’ first son),” said a kibitzer.
“May iniwanan din siya sa dalawa niyang loyal na kasama (Yolly Yabes, who personally attended to all his needs, and Norly Mariano, his personal driver).”
The two reportedly were present when PNoy’s lawyer read his last will and testament.
Norly, in an interview, said PNoy’s sisters were encouraging him to stay.
“Pero, sabi ko ho sa kanila, gusto ko na rin hong magpahinga,” Norly related.
Norly is older than PNoy, who was 61 when he passed away on June 24.

“Ganunpaman, hindi si Ken ‘yung tipong nagpaparamdam na mas magaling siya kesa sa iyo — Rita Daniela’
Do you know that Rita Daniela, who plays the leading lady of Ken Chan in the series, “Ang Dalawang Ikaw,” is a granddaughter of the late comedian Teroy de Guzman?
Teroy was a talented tap dancer, too.
This must be something the singer-actress got from her grandfather, said Rita. But, right now, singing and dancing are in the backburner because she is focused on being a serious actress.
“Parehong seryoso ang papel namin ni Ken sa ‘Ang Dalawang Ikaw’,” she said. “Puro mabibigat, in fact, ang mga eksena namin. Bale ba, ang galing umarte ni Ken. I really feel challenged every time we face the cameras.
“Ganunpaman, hindi si Ken ‘yung tipong nagpaparamdam na mas magaling siya kesa sa iyo. Kaya ‘di lang ako hanga sa kanya, grateful din,” Rita further stated.

Ken is a discovery of the late German Moreno.
For a few years, he served as a co-host and performer in Kuya Germs’ late-night show on GMA, “Walang Tulugan.”
But because of his acting mettle, Kuya Germs suggested to GMA to allow Ken to act in their shows.
“Bilin niya (Kuya Germs) sa akin to impress my bosses,” Ken said, “Na ‘di naman daw tipong nagmamagaling.
“I miss him,” he continued. “I owe Kuya Germs, a lot.
“How I wish he was around when I renewed my contract with GMA. He would have felt proud and happy for me,” he added.
Ken renewed his contract with GMA last February. The same month, he bought his mom the red car he had long promised her.
