With the pandemic and the demands of public service, will Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto find the time for his personal life?
It seems like his dad, Vic Sotto, is eager to find a girlfriend for the much-admired local executive, who turned 31 last June 17.
“Kung si Vic ang masusunod,” said a kibitzer, “parang may nahanap na siyang irereto sa kanyang bunsong lalaki.
“’Yung 28-year-old na mayor ng San Manuel, Tarlac — si Donya Tesoro. Naging guest nila si Mayor Donya sa ‘Bawal Judgemental’ ng ‘Eat Bulaga,’ which Vic hosts with Paolo Ballesteros and Jose Manalo.
“Ang ganda ni Mayor Donya at kaagad nireto niya ito kay Mayor Vico.”
Well, it turns out that Mayor Vico and Mayor Donya have something in common. In an interview in CNN Philippines, we found out that Mayor Vico is a graduate of Political Science from the Ateneo de Manila University. He also got his post-graduate degree in public administration at the Ateneo School of Government.
Mayor Vico passed the bar in 2018.
Mayor Donya, meanwhile, is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts major in communication at the Ateneo. Her original dream was to become a journalist.
Like Mayor Vico, she also has a master’s degree in management.

Actor Wendell Ramos is now a volunteer firefighter.
He was among those who responded in a fire at an electronics factory in Valenzuela City.
“I felt triumphant and at the same time sad, nang nasugpo na ang sunog,” he related. “Sad na natuklasan naming more than half of the building was burned kaya matagal na reconstruction ng factory ang kailangan.
“What will happen to their employees? Wala silang trabaho, unless, of course, their employers will continue giving them their salaries,” he further said.
As a volunteer firefighter, Wendell does not receive any salary. But he said he loves the job and doubts if he will give it up. It has become an advocacy for him.
Soon, he will resume work on the series, “Prima Donnas,” with Aiko Melendez, Chanda Romero, James Blanco and young talents Jillian Ward, Althea Ablan and Sofia Pablo and Elijah Alejo.
“Prima Donnas” is under the helm of actress-director Gina Alajar.

Sarah Geronimo was at the gender reveal party of her sister-in-law, Gioria Guidicelli Dato.
Sarah, who tied the knot with Matteo Guidicelli on February 27, said they might start a family in two years.
They said they want to enjoy their time together as a couple first.
She, who is turning 32 on July 25, has found out she likes being a housewife to Matteo.

Richard was busy preparing for his grand wedding before the pandemic struck. He and his bride, Sarah Lahbati, went ahead with their nuptials while the lockdown was in place.
“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” is seen weeknights on the Kapamilya Channel.

One of the Kapamilya talents hurt by ABS-CBN’s franchise problem is Bayani Agbayani, who used to be a regular in the program, “I Can See Your Voice.”
“Mabuti, may naipon kahit kaunting ang asawa kong si Lenlen,” he said. “This is what keeps us going.”
Two daughters are still in school, and he doesn’t want them to stop despite the situation.
“Sabi ko sa kanila, subukan nila [ang online schooling]. Magandang bagong experience ito sa mga nag-a-aral ngayon,” Bayani said, “Blended education.”
Bayani just became a lolo. His eldest daughter, Thalia, gave birth to a boy, and the feeling of seeing his apo, said Bayani, makes his current problems seem bearable.
“Ang sarap maging lolo,” he said.
Thalia is married to James Carlos, the brother of actress Bea Alonzo.
