“With the show, we hope na maka-discover ng bagong pop stars na puwedeng mga nasa tabi-tabi lang sa kasalukuyan,” she said.
Helping them as headhunters are Maja Salvador, DJ Loonyo and Jay R.
Maine assures, though, that she will still be seen in “Daddy’s Gurl” with Vic Sotto.
Directed by Chris Martinez, “Daddy’s Gurl” started airing in 2018 and has Wally Bayola and Oyo Boy Sotto in the cast.

John Lloyd Cruz admits he is excited to stage a comeback. He has been out of showbiz for four years.
He was last seen playing the role of Toni Gonzaga’s leading man in the sitcom, “Home Sweetie Home,” on ABS-CBN.
“Nasa cast din si Ellen Adarna, the mom of John Lloyd’s nearly three-year-old son, Elias Modesto. Sa ‘Home Sweetie Home’ nagkakilala at nagkalapit ang loob nilang dalawa and the reason why magkasabay sila nawala sa show,” related a kibitzer.
Well, John Lloyd and Ellen separated late 2019. Ellen and John Lloyd share custody of Elias.
Ellen is now engaged to Derek and they may get married this year. They are now living together and Derek reportedly treats Elias like his own son.
The actor has a son of his own — Austin Gabriel. The 16-year-old is his child with his former wife, Mary Christine Jolly.

She has the beauty and the body for the role, but it’s been announced that Jane de Leon will be playing the Pinoy superhero in a series.
It’s said that Miss Philippines Universe Rabiya Mateo, our bet in the last Miss Universe, could hardly wait to join showbiz.
Any role she would welcome. “Kahit pa kontrabida,” she reportedly said.
“Puwede sana siyang Darna,” said an observer. “Aminin na natin that she has an amazing body — na sayang at hindi napansin ng mga judges sa Miss Universe.”
Miss Mexico was judged as Miss Universe. Rabiya was among the Top 21 finalists.
The Darna role has already been given to Jane de Leon, former member of Girlfriends, which used to appear in the noontime show, “It’s Showtime.”
Jane actually was set to start work on the “Darna” film before the pandemic hit.
“Mahirap kunan ang ‘flying’ scene ni Darna,” a member of the production staff said. “Lalo’t may eksenang lilipad siya sa tuktok ng Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).”

Between her studies and showbiz, Lorin Bektas said she would still prioritize her school.
Lorin is the elder of Ruffa Gutierrez’ two daughters with ex-husband, Yilmaz Bektas.
Lorin is in the US for her studies.
But then, Ruffa Gutierrez said, an offer from Viva Entertainment “na nakapanghihinayang tanggihan” came.
It’s not just a starring role but a good one, too.
“At bibigyan din daw siya ng pagkakataon na maging host, kung gugustuhin niya,” added Ruffa.
Lorin is as pretty as her mom.
“Ang ganda rin ng kanyang katawan, bukod sa tall din siya tulad ni Ruffa,” said a kibitzer. “She’s beauty queen material, too.”
How Yilmaz would react to this development, nobody knows. Not even Ruffa, whose priority, we all know, is to resume her studies.
