REAL-LIFE couple Kim Chiu and Xian Lim look like they are meant to star in “Always,” a Filipino adaptation of a hit South Korean movie.
The movie, so popular it has been remade in Turkey, Japan, among others, is about a blind girl and a washed-out boxer who fall in love. Of course, what sets the Philippine version apart is that it features actors who are actual sweethearts. Director Dado Lumibao said it worked to their advantage that Kim and Xian are a real couple. The kilig is real and the chemistry is palpable between the two. After the initial unease because it has been a while since they worked together, Kim and Xian felt right at home with their roles.
Xian and Kim are each other’s biggest supporters. Xian underwent a hard regimen and had a strict diet. Kim, ever caring, made sure to eat the same things Xian was allowed to so they could share their meals. Xian, who also directs, is generous with his reminders and encouraging words for his leading lady and ladylove.
Do they promise to be this loving to each other? “Always,” they chorus.

Camille De Chavez, a netizen from Batangas, used the F.A.S.T method she watched from “2 Good 2 Be True” to her grandfather, Lolo Esing, and she was able to rush him to the hospital after confirming he had a stroke.
“Nagpapasalamat kami sa lahat ng bumubuo ng show kasi nakatulong po kayo. Hindi lang siya nakaka-entertain ng tao, natulungan niyo kami na ma-aksyunan agad yung nangyari sa kanya,” she said.
Camille imitated Ali (Kathryn Bernardo) who used the FAST method on Lolo Hugo (Ronaldo Valdez) to determine the symptoms of stroke. It was demonstrated in Episode 61 of “2 Good 2 Be True.”
The show’s lead stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla shared their sweet messages for Camille and Lolo Esing. The show also went to Batangas to give them fruits and to let them watch the couple’s message for them.
