‘[I]t’s good he is now resuming his career, whereas Derek Ramsay, the guy who replaced him in the heart of his former live-in partner Ellen Adarna, remains jobless up to now’
MAJA Salvador has put up her own talent management agency called Crown Artists Management or CAM, with her boyfriend Rambo Nunez. They have just announced that they will now be managing the career of John Lloyd Cruz, who will make a comeback in showbiz after lying low for almost four years and siring a son with Ellen Adarna.
As Maja announces herself: “The CAMback is REAL. CAM is now in charge of all inquiries about John Lloyd after a long hiatus. We are sure a lot of his fans are anticipating this and the right time has already come. Yes, THE JOHN LLOYD CRUZ is back!”

No one knows yet what his comeback project with Maja will be, whether it’s going to a teleserye or a movie. If the comeback would be staged soon, then it wouldn’t be a movie as we all know the current moribund state of the local film industry because of the pandemic. Movies are only being shown via streaming channels and they’re not making as much revenue as movies shown in actual theaters before.
But we know that John Lloyd has actually finished an arthouse film, “Servando Magdamag,” written by Ricky Lee and directed by Lav Diaz, which would be shown first in international film festivals. This is John Lloyd’s second film with Lav Diaz after “Ang Babaeng Humayo,” where he played a crossdresser. But these arty films generally do not make money at the box office.
Of course, netizens have quickly made their own comments about Lloydie’s comeback.
They said it’s good he is now resuming his career, whereas Derek Ramsay, the guy who replaced him in the heart of his former live-in partner Ellen Adarna, remains jobless up to now and is only visible in social media where he posts all his activities and photos with his fiancée.

Kim Molina was raised by her OFW parents in Saudi. She came to Manila to join singing contests here and ended up being a musical theater star in the surprise hit “Rak of Aegis” eight years ago. She played supporting roles on TV and in movies until Viva launched her in “Jowable,” a pre-pandemic blockbuster. She now has a new movie, “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam,” and she confessed that she really got jealous when her boyfriend Jerald Napoles had steamy love scenes with Sunshine Guimary in the sex comedy “Kaka.”
“Hindi naman ako babaeng walang pakiramdam sa totoong buhay, so yes, may na-feel po akong selos,” she says. “But we’ve talked about it and now, tanggap ko na we had to do such scenes kasi part ng work namin ito, para may pambayad kami sa bills.”
Her name in “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam” is Anastacia Quingquing and playing her proved to be very difficult as she is afflicted with a rare condition which involves congenital insensitivity to pain. In other words, she doesn’t feel anything at all.
“Kasi nga, wala siyang pakiramdam, ang kailangang ipakita ko is expressionless acting, walang reaction. But in one scene i had to do a stunt, ‘yung Danao plunge shot in Bohol.
Bungee jumping ‘yun. Two hundred meters down.
In “Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam,” she becomes a superhero. How does she feel about it?
“Nakakatuwa kasi I played Darna na on stage in ‘Hindi Ako si Darna.’ Si Miss Tetchie Agbayani played the old Darna and naghahanap siya ng makakapalit niya as the new Darna na lilipatan niya nung bato at ako ang napili niya. Now, dito sa ‘Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam,’ reunited kami kasi she plays my mother here at nag-costume din ako rito na superhero.”
“Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam” is showing on ktx.ph, iWantTFC, TFC IPTV, SKY PPV, Cignal PPV for P250 and on Vivamax starting June 11.

Pauline Mendoza, lead star of GMA afternoon soap “Babawiin Ko ang Lahat,” is very open about her relationship with the very young mayor of Alaminos City, Pangasinan, Bryan Celeste. It’s an LDR (long-distance relationship) kind of relationship since Pauline is based in Manila while Mayor Bryan is in his home city, but it’s working well, thanks to today’s modern technology where they can easily make video calls to keep in touch.
When Pauline was interviewed by the press via Zoom for “Babawiin Ko ang Lahat,” she and her family are with Bryan in Alaminos. Pauline intends to put up her own skin care and beauty center in her boyfriend’s turf. She wants to make it clear that they’re not business associates but she put up her beauty center all on her own.
She and Bryan practice all the necessary health protocols before they saw each other. “Yes, nagpa-swab test muna kami to make sure we’re both okay,” she says. “Mahigpit din sila dito sa Alaminos about safety protocols, lalo’t maraming nagpupunta rito from outside to visit Hundred Islands.”
Have they talked about wedding plans?
“No, not yet. Kasi we’re both so young. I’m just 21 years old and he’s 24, so pareho kaming mas focused pa sa aming careers. Lalo na ako, ngayon lang ako nabigyan ng lead role ng GMA dito sa ‘Babawiin Ko ang Lahat,’ so dito muna ang focus ko. Kaya as of now, career muna ang priority namin.”
She’s happy viewers liked “Babawiin Ko ang Lahat.” “Nababasa ko ‘yung comments nila sa social media and they really follow the story and enjoy watching every episode. Affected sila sa mga nangyayari sa amin ng mother ko. Andaming nagtatanong sa akin kung kailan ko daw ba gagawin ‘yung title na ‘Babawiin Ko ang Lahat,’ naiinip na sila. So I told them, wait lang kayo. We will get there soon. Basta huwag kayong bibitaw at panoorin nyo ang susunod pang pasabog na episodes. Makakabawi rin kami ng family ko mula sa lahat ng pang-aapi sa amin.”
