Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto hinted that he might run for vice president next year in his interview with Karen Davila on the ABS-CBN News Channel’s (ANC) “Headstart.”
He didn’t mention who his president will be.
So far, two prominent politicians have somehow expressed their desire to run for the top position, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Senator Bong Go.
Two presidential aspirants are Senator Panfilo Lacson and former Senator Sonny Trillanes.
President Duterte’s daughter, Sarah, is another possible contender. Fondly addressed by her constituents as Inday Sara, she is a lawyer like her dad. Her husband, Mans (for Manases) Carpio, a nephew of former Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales, is a lawyer as well.
Mayor Sara just turned 43 on her birthday last May 31.

Tito Sen, as he is fondly called, will turn 74 on August 24.
Although he belongs to a political family, his original dream was to join showbiz — which he was able to realize as part of the formidable TVJ of showbiz for Tito, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon.
Tito Sen is married to actress-dancer Helen Gamboa. The couple have four children — three girls and one boy, Gian Carlo, who is currently the vice mayor of Quezon City.
Tito Sen started his political career as vice mayor of Quezon City. He held the position from 1988 to 1992.
Older QC residents remember his as the vice mayor who focused on exposing the prevalence of illegal drugs in the city.
As Senator, he was among those who favored the death penalty for drug trafficking.

Showbiz people first got to know Tacloban Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez, not as a politician, but as the wife of actor and now Ormoc Mayor Richard Gomez.
Actually, Lucy got into politics ahead of Mayor Richard, as she has been a lawmaker for 11 years.
She currently serves the people from the fourth district of Leyte.
Congresswoman Lucy is turning 46 on December 11.
Guess what she indirectly revealed to Karen Davila in “Headstart” last Tuesday?
Well, Lucy hinted that she might run for a senate seat in 2022.
Rep. Lucy is well versed about what’s happening in the country, including red-tagging.
She and Mayor Richard have one child, daughter Juliana, who is as stunning as her mom.
“Ang higit na hinahangaan namin ni Mayor Richard kay Juliana, mabait siyang bata at dedicated sa kanyang pag-a-aral,” Rep Lucy once said in an interview.
Juliana is into sports, too, like her dad. Her favorite is fencing.

The project was reportedly shelved because of the stars’ separation.
Willie Revillame is cooking up a sitcom for his newly-established production outfit, WBR (Willie Buendia-Revillame) Productions.

The sitcom will reportedly star John Lloyd Cruz with Andrea Torres.
Willie has assigned a team to plan the production. He wants it to be as intriguing and as
controversial as the team-up of John Lloyd and Andrea.
As is common knowledge, John Lloyd and Andrea have for their exes Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna, who are now engaged.
Before getting engaged with Ellen, Derek was with Andrea for over a year. Meanwhile, John Lloyd has a child, Elias, with Ellen.
Before the sitcom, John Lloyd will appear in Willie’s “Tutok to Win” on GMA 7.
Yes, John Lloyd and Andrea’s sitcom will be aired on GMA, too.
John Lloyd started his career and made a name for himself on ABS-CBN. Then, he went on hiatus for four years.
“In fairness sa akin at sa GMA na rin, I talked to the people who serve as executive of Kapamilya.
“Ang naging sagot naman nila, walang problema,” Willie further related.
John Lloyd was last seen in the sitcom, “Home Sweetie Home,” with Toni Gonzaga and Ellen Adarna. Edgar Mortiz was at its helm.
John Lloyd will reunite with Direk Edgar in his project for Willie’s production.
