‘Both Janella and Markus have kept mum about the reason but the two are said to be co parenting their one-year-old son, Jude.’

JANELLA SALVADOR

JANELLA Salvador and Markus Paterson had not even admitted they were officially dating when news broke out that they were going to be parents. Now that rumors are rife they have separated, they seem to have become more forthcoming about the real score between them.

It was four months ago when the breakup rumors started. They first denied the separation, but in a recent interview, Janella referred to herself as a single mom. There is also a video circulating with Markus saying something about never getting into a relationship with a celebrity again.

Why did they split up? Both Janella and Markus have kept mum about the reason but the two are said to be co-parenting their one-year-old son, Jude. Of course, Janella is also busy playing Valentina in “Mars Ravelo’s Darna.” She seems to be relishing the role and her character’s transformation as Valentina, the snake-crowned supervillain who is the archnemesis of Darna, played by Jane de Leon, trended on Twitter.

Speaking of Markus, he will be part of iWantTFC’s youth-oriented series “Teen Clash,” with Jayda Avanzado and Aljon Mendoza.

Markus will play Jude, which is, incidentally, the name of his son with Janella. Jude is a rockstar, Jayda is Ice, a soft-spoken songwriter, and Jayda is Zoe – an aspiring recording artist who will get involved in a scandal.

“Teen Clash” is based on the popular Wattpad novel of the same name. It will stream this December.

Meanwhile, the coming-of-age series “Tara, G” will start streaming this month. It stars Daniela Stanner, Anthony Jennings, Kaori Oinuma, Vivoree Esclito, JC Alcantara, Zach Castañeda, and CJ Salonga.

These youth-oriented shows are available for streaming on the iWantTFC app and iwanttfc.com.

It was not only fun meet and greets and performances for Star Magic artists who finally got to fly to the United States two years after the pandemic outbreak.

Following their successful, three-leg “Beyond the Stars US Tour” in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles last August 4, August 12, and August 14, respectively, AC Bonifacio, Kyle Echarri, Angela Ken, Marlo Mortel, Sab, Lian Kyla, Janine Berdin, Maymay Entrata, KD Estrada, and Alexa Ilacad attended and completed several workshops in singing, acting, and dancing.

Acting coach Shannon Sturges, best known for her roles in “S.W.A.T.,” “Den of the Thieves,” and “Fate of the Furious,” led the list of mentors the artists learned from.

The Star Magic artists also took the chance to have a studio tour and actor’s audition workshop at the Disney ABC Studios. This activity led them to meet Disney’s casting Director Aaron Testa, the man behind the shows “The Wonder Years,” “Big Sky,” and the world-renowned medical TV series “Grey’s Anatomy.” They also met Michelle Paulino, executive assistant for casting and talent relations of Disney Branded Televisions.

Singers Janine, Lian Kyla, Sab, Angela, Marlo, Alexa, and KD participated in music classes spearheaded by Filipino-Canadian songwriter and producer August Rigo. August is best known for creating hits for world-class personalities like Justin Bieber, One Direction, and Chris Brown, as well as several K-Pop acts like BTS, Seventeen, and Baekhyun. Their workshops were memorable because they did their recordings at Marilyn Monroe’s former residence.

KD, Alexa, Lian Kyla, Sab, Angela, and Kyle continued their lessons under the award-winning Filipino-American musical director Troy Laureta. Drummer Nate Laguzza, who works for David Foster, and session guitarist Andre Frappier, best known for working with Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson, also joined Troy and the singers’ group.

Maymay and AC trained with choreographers Jonathan Sison and Nika Kljun. Both choreographers are known for the rocking dance moves of Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, and Jennifer Lopez.
