‘The release of the huge HEA for the hapless HCWs was one of the promises made by President Bongbong Marcos in his State of the Nation Address (SONA) last year which he apparently means to keep.’
AFTER two years, the country’s health care workers (HCWs), the medical warriors who took the COVID-19 19 onslaught by the horn, will finally get paid. The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) reportedly released last Friday P27 billion for the health emergency allowance of the HCWs. This covers payment for “5,039,926 remaining validated HEA and 4,283 claims of sickness and death compensation for eligible and non-eligible HCWs.”
The HEA was provided in RA 11712 signed last April 2022 and was supposed to be released monthly “but finger-pointing between DBM and Department of Health (DOH) officials have led to the pending claims ballooning to billions of pesos.”

President Marcos is probably not yet ready to confront the issue of political dynasty, the abolition of which is provided in our Constitution. We can only hope that one day, he can bravely defy the entrenched and widespread political and business interests of innumerable relatives, allies and friends. It would be quite a legacy from him that nothing in human history can hinder.

Bill Johnson is a fifth-generation pastor with a rich heritage in the Holy Spirit. He is the senior leader of Bethel Church in Redding, California and is passionate about seeing spiritual revival and God’s Kingdom established and revealed in the lives of individuals, families, communities and nations.
Johnson’s teaching on the Kingdom of heaven, hosting the Presence of God, and the renewed mind have helped thousands around the world to step into their true identity in Jesus Christ and to walk in a supernatural lifestyle displaying both purity and power in healing and deliverance.
Many people have accepted their sicknesses and diseases from which they should be delivered if only they are deeply inclined toward the Word of God in the Bible.
“Johnson expounds on Scripture passages that are commonly used to oppose pursuing and walking in the miraculous. Your call to live a life of miracles is not for recognition or fame, but for the purpose of continuing Jesus’s ministry on earth to restore, heal, free and connect people with their divine purpose and identity in Christ. There are people all around us that are broken, hurting and waiting for someone to stand with them in faith to set them free.”
The following are excerpts from Bill Johnson’s very insightful and mentally liberating sermon, “Living a Life of Miracles.” “Many will say to the Lord we demonstrate the will of God but don’t ignore it because it’s part of the program. Don’t say he’s my Lord and yet you don’t pray for the sick, you don’t confront somebody’s tormented with dreams.
“If people who do not have a relationship with Jesus can use His name and people are healed, then those who know Jesus have no excuse in praying for the healing of the sick.
“Deal with demons and command them to leave and start there. Jesus didn’t give us the spirit of the resurrected Christ so we could sit down and wait for someone else to do something. He put the spirit of resurrection in us because He is looking for us to confront death, loss, destruction, all those signs of the demonic world that are our assignment. You were born for this.
“So we have the question, what’s the one thing more important than knowing God. There is one thing – it’s knowing us. God knows everything about you and everything about me, but it’s only as we open and be totally honest, totally transparent before the One who knows everything. The Scripture says I’m supposed to worship Him in spirit and in truth. In spirit implies a relationship with the Holy Spirit who enables and directs me in the true privilege of giving honor to who God is, but the second is in truth. Truth means nothing hidden, absolutely nothing.
“So, the one thing more important than knowing God is him knowing you. Paul says in 1 Corinthians that those who do the will of God are known by God.”
