It’s almost a done deal that John Lloyd Cruz will be starring in a Kapuso sitcom with Andrea Torres, to be directed and line produced by Edgar “Bobot” Mortiz, who also directed John Lloyd’s defunct sitcom with Toni Gonzaga, “Home Sweetie Home.”
It was at that sitcom where John Lloyd met his now ex, Ellen Adarna, the mother of his three-year-old son, Elias Modesto.
Sandy Andolong and Benjie Paras are said to be joining the new sitcom. It was Sandy who also played Toni’s mom in “Home Sweetie Home.”

People are wondering if Direk Bobot has plans of directing Lipa Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto.

The ex-screen partners are both happily married. Congresswoman Vi is married with Senator Ralph Recto, with whom she has a son, Ryan Christian. Direk Bobot cannot ask for anything more as a husband and father. He and wife, Millette (nee Santos), have four kids: Frasco, Badji, Calin and Camille. The couple marked their 44th wedding anniversary last April 3.
Millette, of course, is a younger sister of actress-producer Charo Santos-Concio and producer Malou Santos.

Someone said Joshua Garcia, 23, and Ria Atayde, 29, are out to prove this.
The two have are seen together most of the time, although usually in the company of good friends, including sweethearts Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
In the photos, Joshua and Ria look good together.
The daughter of actress Slyvia Sanchez and younger sister of actor Arjo Atayde, Ria is a graduate of De la Salle University. She was last linked to JM de Guzman.
Joshua, meanwhile, was a former PBB housemate. He was then paired with Julia Barretto, who is the love of Gerald Anderson’s life. He is taking up entrepreneurship at the Southville International School and Colleges in Paranaque.

Speaking of Kathryn, the 25-year-old is having her dream house built.
“It’s within Metro Manila kaya madaling puntahan,” she said, “At malapit sa mga importanteng lugar na need na puntahan.”
As far as we know, Kat’s boyfriend, Daniel also has his own dream house.
The couple will star in a new kilig series. Then, they will be paired in a film.

Two shows featured that highlight Pinoy humor are “Maine Goals,” a lifestyle show hosted by Maine Mendoza, and “Kusina ni Mamang,” a show hosted by Pokwang that explores traditional Filipino home cooking.
Cignal TV is the country’s premier direct-to-home satellite provider and leader in Pay TV.
APT Entertainment, meanwhile, is a premier production company founded in 1994 by Antonio Tuviera, who is the man behind the longest-running noontime program, “Eat Bulaga.”

Looking younger, although a bit bigger, is megastar Sharon Cuneta, who has just come back from the US.
At the press con of her upcoming movie, “Revirginized,” the 55-year-old actress admitted that she told her husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan about her intimate scenes with her co-star Marco Gumabao. She is shown doing body shots on Marco in the movie.
She related that Senator Kiko had no reaction whatsoever when she told him about those scenes. He obviously knew such scenes were needed in the movie. And Sharon is thankful for having a husband who understands her job and is cool whenever she has to star in films with her exes.
The actress also expressed her high regard for her young “Revirginized” director, Darryl Yap, who also wrote the film. Sharon said she is looking forward to working with him again.
Before the press con ended, she said she will not mind working in a project with former husband Gabby Concepcion.
Sharon might be glad to know that in a previous press con, Gabby also said he will welcome the idea of working with her again, too.
“Revirginized” will have its worlwide premiere this August 6 on ktx.ph, iWantTFC, TFC IPTV, SKY PPV, and on Vivamax. It will also be shown on Cignal PPV this August 27. It will also have theatrical release in US and Canada on August 13.
