How Angeline’s late mom would have reacted to her pregnancy

April, said Angeline Quinto, is when she will give when birth to her first child.

The singer-actress doesn’t make secret the fact that she is not married to the father of her unborn child.

“To be fair to him,” Angeline said, “wala siyang asawa. Although he already had three children with other women.”

Will they get married? Angeline was asked.

“Hindi pa namin ‘yan napag-u-usapan,” she replied.

Angeline is 32 and the guy is a couple of years younger.

Her friend’s boyfriend introduced them to each other.

Someone asked Angeline how her late mother, Mama Bob, would have felt about her pregnancy if she were alive today.

“Sigurado akong she would have felt happy for me,” Angeline answered. “She loved babies. Kaya nga inampon niya ako.”

Angeline’s rumored ex-boyfriend, singer Erik Santos, sounded sincere when he said he is happy for her.

“Ipinapanalangin ko rin na maging maayos siya, hanggang manganak siya,” the balladeer added.

What if she asks him to become a ninong of the child?

“Please remember that Angeline’s child has a father,” replied Erik, “He also has to have a say on the matter.

“Sa kaso ko, pag-isipan ko.”

Several years away from the limelight and Maricel Laxa thought her acting career is behind her. But then the offer to do the drama anthology, “Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune” came along.

“Actually, my son Donny (Pangilinan) had a hand in my decision to accept the offer,” the actress explained. “When he heard about the offer, he did a research on it.”

Donny said he was impressed with his mom’s co-stars in the series, especially Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo, Sunshine Cruz, and a young actress he admires, Barbie Forteza.

“Hindi lang dahil maganda siya, kundi dahil balitang magaling siya,” said Donny of Barbie.

“Ang ganda rin ng kuwento, which I will not, of course, discuss extensively dahil mas magandang panoorin.

“Yes, even my mom agrees.”

“Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune” airs Monday to Friday, 9:35 p.m. on GMA 7.

Everyone is buzzing about John Lloyd Cruz’ first project on GMA, “Happy ToGetHer.”

“Masaya kasi,” commented a viewer. “Bagay talaga silang magkatrabaho ni Direk Edgar Mortiz.”

John Lloyd and Direk Edgar are also co-producers of the sitcom.

Missed on TV and the big screen is actress Maricel Soriano.

The “Diamond Star” is hailed for being versatile, as actress or live performer. She has excelled in all genres — drama, comedy, horror, musical, etc.

Many are wondering what her reaction is to the romance between her ex, Edu Manzano and actress Cherry Pie Picache.

Maricel and Edu tied the knot at the Archbishop’s Palace in 1989. He was previously married to Vilma Santos, who just marked her 29th wedding anniversary in December with Sen. Ralph Recto.

Maricel and Edu were not blessed with a child, but they have kids with their ex partners.

Alden Richards may fly to the US after the ending of his series on GMA, “The World Between Us.”

“I need to prepare for my next project. Which will pair me with Bea Alonzo,” said the actor.

“I’m her fan. And it’s an open book how good an actress she is.

“Ayokong mapahiya,” he added with a smile.

Well, Bea admires Alden, too. When she signed up with GMA, she mentioned wanting to work with Alden, as well as some other GMA contract stars.

Soon, the pair will be seen in a movie together.
