“Masuwerte siya kay Cena, who died in 1998,” said someone close to them. “Minahal niya ang mga anak ni Ramon sa ibang babae.”

A former entertainment editor of a broadsheet told us that she remembered Cena as gentle and kind.

“I saw her once with five young children, na halos magkaka-edad,” said the lady editor. “And I asked her who they were.

Cena’s reply was casual. “Mga anak ni Ramon,” related the lady editor.

Back on air is “Love Thy Woman,” which is airing on the Kapamilya Channel on cable.

“Ang saya ko,” said lead star, Kim Chiu, who gets the chance to work with some of her favorite stars — Sunshine Cruz, Eula Valdez and Christopher de Leon — in the soap.

Also in the cast of “Love Thy Woman” are Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ruffa Gutierrez, Kim’s boyfriend, Xian Lim, and Yam Concepcion.

Kim was recently spotted distributing relief goods to jeepney drivers who have resorted to begging to support their families. Before this, she distributed food packs to several families affected by the coronavirus lockdown. She also held a fund-raising. Proceeds from the sale of her “Bawal Lumabas” merchandise are intended to raise funds for mass testing.

“Sana nga matulungan ang mga jeepney drivers ng ating gobyerno at ng mga may kaya na may mga maawaing puso,” said the actress.

“Sa totoo lang, I wonder why di pa sila pinapayagan ng ating gobyerno para makapasada muli nang sa ganun, magsimula na silang kumita hindi lang para sa kanila, kundi para sa kanilang pamilya rin.”
