Guess what Jodi Sta. Maria considers her biggest accomplishment right now?

She was able to defend her thesis, although it took her three hours because of intense grilling, she said with a smile.

It’s common knowledge that although busy with her showbiz work, Jodi made time for school.

Her original dream was to be a doctor.

She enrolled in a pre-med course, BS Psychology, at Southville International in Paranaque.

It was tough, as she had to juggle her career with her studies. Of coruse, she also is a mom to Thirdy, her son with ex-husband Pampi Lacson.

She might not realize her dream to become a doctor, but she said she will take up a master’s degree later.

Jodi will play Dr. Jill Ilustre in “The Broken Marriage Vow,” which is the Philippine remake of “Dr. Foster,” a popular soap in the United Kingdom. She will be joined by Sue Ramirez, Zaijian Jaranilla, and Zanjoe Marudo in the series.

Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera with their kids Zia and Ziggy

If she has her way, his wife, Marian Rivera, reportedly prefers that Dingdong not enter politics.

More actors are now focusing on the coming elections.

Did we hear it right that Dingdong Dantes is being enticed to run for senator?

We heard that Marian Rivera would rather have a quiet family life and she does not want Dingdong to enter politics.

Thankfully, Dingdong seems now interested in throwing her hat in the political arena.

“Not yet,” said someone close to him. “But let’s wait for the time someone starts enumerating to him the advantages of being in public service. Ang big come-on diyan ay makakatulong siya sa bayan.”

And said to be ready to be his running mate is Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto.

Senator Tito is 72; Senator Lacson is 73.

Senator Ping has impressive credentials. He has been a relentless public servant for more than 40 years. He served as police general in the Philippine National Police (PNP) from 1999 to 2001 before entering the senate from 2001 to 2013. And getting elected again in 2016.

Ex-couple Pops Fernandez and Martin Nievera remain friends and good parents to their sons, Robin and Ram.

They both got really worried when Ram fell ill and had to be hospitalized recently.

Martin, Pops and Robin were at Ram’s bedside as he battled his illness.

“Salamat, salamat din sa mga nagdasal,” said Pops, “Malaking tulong sila sa madaling pag galing ni Ram.”

Both Pops and Martin are currently busy with their respective shows. Pops is part of a singing tilt on GMA. Martin, on the other hand, has LSS, his weekly show on the ABS-CBN News Channel.

Martin has also just finished his concert, “New Day,” at The Theater at Solitaire, with Lani Misalucha.

The last time Martin and Lani were in a concert together was in 2019, when the two performed in the Middle East — Dubai, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.

It’s their hope and prayer, said the two performers, that in their next performance, they will be able to perform live in a major venue — with musicians, back-up singers, guest artists and stage directors, plus sponsors and audiences present as well.

Well, we join you in your prayers, Martin and Lani.
