Ruffa, who turned 47 last June 24, is loveless, too. And her mom, Annabelle Rama, is reportedly only too happy that Ruffa broke up with her last boyfriend.
Janice and Ruffa are in “Reina ng Tahanan” on the Kapamilya’s noontime show, “It’s Showtime.” They are both single moms. Ruffa has two daughters, Lorin and Venice, with her former husband, Yilmaz Bektas. Janice, on the other hand, has four children with her ex-husband, actor John Estrada, who is now married and has a child with Priscilla Meirelles.
One of Janice and John’s daughters, Kaila Estrada, has just signed with Star Magic. She is among the new talents of the Kapamilya Channel.

Ruffa has gone back to school. She is currently taking up Bachelors of Arts, majoring in Communication, under the expanded Tertiary Education and Accreditation program (ETEEP) at the Philippine Women’s University (PWU).
The elder of Ruffa’s two daughters, Lorin, is now a Viva Entertainment talent.
“Pero tulad ng aming matinong usapan na mag-ina, magpapatuloy siya ng pag-a-aral,” stated Ruffa.
Lorin just finished secondary education in an international school.

Present at the funeral mass for former President Noynoy Aquino at the Ateneo de Manila Chapel last Saturday was James Yap, the father of Kris Aquino’s younger son, Bimby.
He was spotted sitting near the chapel’s front door.
Meanwhile, reports say that in the same row Kris and her sons Bimby and Joshua were seated was former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.

Although it seems that because of the success of “Puto,” TV5’s remake of his hit movie,
Mayor Herbert seems inspired to become active in showbiz again. The movie “Puto” was directed by the late Leroy Salvador and produced by Viva Entertainment. The series, meanwhile, is directed by Raynier Brizuela.

Comedian Bayani Agbayani was surprised to receive three pairs of branded shoes — Gucci, Prada and Givenchy — from Sharon Cuneta, who is known for her generosity.
“Tumawag lang siya, ‘umorder ka ng tatlong sapatos’,” he said in his vlog.
Prior to receiving Sharon’s gifts, Bayani remembers mentioning to a friend that he need to buy shoes.
“Baka ‘yung kaibigan ko nabanggit ito kay Sharon,” surmised Bayani. “Well, thank you from the bottom of my heart, Mega Sha.”

A week or two after she signed up with GMA 7, Pokwang will start work on her first project for the network, a guest stint in “Pepito Manaloto.”
The assignment is a big thrill for someone who admires Michael V. Pokwang is a fan of his two shows, “Pepito” and “Bubble Gang.”
“Ang tagal na ng dalawang shows na iyan, ‘di ba? Pero aliw pa rin ako tuwing pinanonood ko sila,” she added.
She will be having her first experience of lock-in taping with “Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento.”
“Kaya first time din na ma-experience kong ilang linggong ‘di makakasama ang aking mag-amang sina Lee (O’Brian) and Malia (their daughter), three years old.”
Pokwang has an elder daughter, Ria Mae, who is now a graduate of culinary arts.
