Parang kahapon lang” is how Senator Bong Revilla describes his marriage to wife Lani Mercado. He and the newly-proclaimed Cavite congresswoman wed in California in 1986.

They were teenagers. Now, Sen. Bong is 55 and Cong. Lani is 54.

Their union produced six children, all good-looking and accomplished.

Bryan, their eldest, is now a partylist representative.

Jolo, the second, will finish his term as vice governor of Cavite this month and will soon take his seat as congressman.

Ram, the youngest son, is an incoming board member in the second district of Cavite.

How did they do it? Senator Bong was asked.

“Our respective accomplishments obviously speak for themselves,” the good and handsome senator replied.

Senator Bong loves to relate how he met his beautiful wife. He said he bumped into Lani at Mother Lily Monteverde’s house.

She was set to have her screen test, while he was applying to be a Regal Baby.

Senator Bong had just arrived from the US when Mother Lily requested for a meeting with him.

What happened next need not be told.

‘Ariel, aside from being an actor, is an accomplished singer and recording artist.’

ARIEL RIVERA

Back on TV is Ariel Rivera, who is part of GMA’s series, “The Fake Life.” He was last seen in a noontime show on TV5.

“The Fake Life” is under the direction of Adolf Alix, Jr. and will premiere on June 5.

Ariel, aside from being an actor, is an accomplished singer and recording artist.

He and wife Gelli de Belen have two sons, who are studying in Canada.

The boys do not seem interested in following in Ariel and Gelli’s footsteps.

“Nag-i-iba na nga naman ang panahon,” said Ariel. “Pana-panahon ‘yan, sabi nga.”

Tremendous is how Sid Lucero describes his working relationship with Angeli Khang.

Not only is she a good and cooperative actress, she is also versatile and open to suggestions, like Sid.

In their film together, “Virgin Forest,” they got to work together in a number of hot scenes.

“For a change, as we are not young anymore,” said Sid, “And our director (Brillante Mendoza) assured us na titiyakin niyang hindi bastos ang dating.”

So far, for those of us who have seen the said scenes, amazing talaga and brave ang dating.

Marian Rivera has always been vocal about wanting to have lots of kids.

And for a reason.

The actress is an only child. Her parents are estranged. Marian grew up with her grandmother, as her mother was abroad working.

In Marian’s case, she and husband Dingdong Dantes can very well afford to give their kids — Zia and Ziggy — more siblings.

Marian is enjoying being a full-time wife and hands-on mom. She is happy to take care of Zia and Ziggy and bring them to their classes.

She also gets to work and accept endorsements, which she has aplenty. Marian happens to be one of the country’s top endorsers and commercial models.
