Tirso Cruz lll and wife Lyn (Ynchausti)’s second son, Bodie (real name: Elmo Jeremiah), is now a minister of a religious congregation.
The couple’s eldest, Teejay (real name: Tristan Jedidiah), died of cancer two years ago, at age 37.
Bodie appeared in some showbiz projects before. Regal Entertainment’s Mother Lily wanted to build him up as an actor because of his looks, height and talents, not only because he is the son of Tirso — or Pip as he is called.
“Pero iba nga ang calling nya,” said Pip. “At magandang calling.
“Lyn and I are proud of him.”
The couple have a daughter, Djanin, who also acts.
Pip, 68, continues to be active in showbiz. He plays a kontrabida in the top action series, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” topbilled by Coco Martin.

Side A band member Joey Benin is now a church minister.
Joey is also a well-known bassist, singer, producer, musical arranger and songwriter. Among his biggest hit is “Forevermore,” which was even used as a title of a Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil project.

Ian Veneracion is excited about his upcoming TV5 sitcom, “Oh, My Dad,” where he plays the title role.
His leading lady in the show is Dimples Romana, who also came from ABS-CBN just like Ian.
“But I left ABS-CBN, sabihin na nating, in a happy note,” said Ian. “Nagpaalam ako nang mahusay.
“I told the network that I had an offer from TV5 which is too good para tanggihan. They understood and even wished me good luck.”
He will always have a soft spot for the Kapamilya Network. He has many friends there who all assured him they were happy for him and have promised to keep in touch.
In Daniel Padilla’s first digital concert, “Apollo,” Ian obliged to perform a duet with him.
“Parang anak ko ‘yan,” Ian said of Daniel. “Kaibigan ko ang mother niya, si Karla (Estrada).
At kaibigan siya ng mga anak ko.”

Speaking of “Apollo,” Daniel didn’t forget to include in the show’s repertoire classics which are favorites of his maternal grandmother.
One of these all-time favorites is Nat King Cole’s “Smile.”
Daniel remembers that “Smile” was a song his lola often sang to him.
“Ang lola ko ang nagpalaki sa akin, as my mom had to work to support me,” he said, “[‘Smile’] rin ang pang gising niya sa akin.”
“Smile,” Daniel said, was composed by Charlie Chaplin. Its music was used as a soundtrack of one of Chaplin’s movies, “Modern Times,” released in 1936.
The late Michael Jackson loved singing “Smile.”

At the concert, Daniel’s girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo was present.
Kathryn bought a ticket to the event at P499.
“At heto kamo ang ginawa pa ni Kathryn, as she believes the concert was a success,” said a kibitzer. “She treated Daniel and everyone involved with the event to a huge blowout.
“As everyone knows, every peso earned from the concert was distributed to the staff and former employees of ABS-CBN who lost their jobs.”
In an interview, Daniel said he wanted the price of the ticket low because of the current situation. He would have wanted the show to be free, he added, but he had to pay for the songs and also give salaries to the people in the production.
“Ako po, wala po akong kikitain dito,” he also said.
