Joshua Garcia turns 22 years old on October 7, and his utmost birthday wish is for the pandemic to end.
“Aminin na natin,” said he, “na feeling helpless ka, even if, sabi nga, you are in the safety of your home. Kahit you are with your family, maraming dos and don’t’s. Foremost is your physical distancing. And even if you are just going to, sabihin na natin na sa garden, must na you wear a mask, plus your face shield. You will always have to remind yourself, too, to wash your hands constantly and use an alcohol or any kind of sanitizer.
“At heto ang pinaka-devastating — alam mong may kaaway ka, pero, di mo nakikita,” he added.
The actor has chosen to not work on any project now, but before the lockdown, he was able to finish the horror movie, “Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan,” an adaptation of a Bob Ong novel. It is directed by Chito Roño and produced by Regal Entertainment.

For his next birthday, which, he is hoping, is already COVID-19 free, Joshua plans to go to Barcelona, Spain, where he once shot the movie, “Barcelona: A Love Untold” (2016) with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
“I want to explore the place,” he said. “Ang ganda kasi. And I will do that, all by myself.”
He has had the chance, he said, to travel all by himself. And this was in Bali, Indonesia.

She already has two daughters so she and her partner, Philmar Alipayo, are
hoping for a son.
Andi Eigenmann says her current pregnancy will be her last.
“By caesarian section kasi siya muling manganganak,” said someone close to Andi. “Both her two babies, Ellie at Lilo, parehong babae, she gave birth thru CS. Tatlong beses lang puwedeng manganak ang isang babae by caesarean section. Kaya nga daw, Andi and her partner, Philar Alipayo, a beach owner and champion surfer in Siargao, hopes boy na itong dinadala ni Andi.”
Andi is currently in Siargao with her kids, Ellie and Lilo, and her mother, actress Jacklyn Jose.
Ellie is Andi’s daughter with Jake Ejercito, the son of former President Joseph Estrada and former actress Laarni Enriquez.

How sad to hear that veteran actress Caridad Sanchez has dementia.
Dementia, in the dictionary, is described as a progressive condition (much like as Alzheimer’s disease) marked by deteriorated cognitive functioning, often with emotional apathy.
Caridad turned 87 on her birthday last August 1.
The Visayan actress is a contemporary of Gloria Sevilla, who was dubbed as “Visayan Movie Queen.”
Caridad and Gloria eventually became LVN Pictures stars.
LVN Pictures was one of the three great movie companies, along with Sampaguita Pictures and Premiere Productions.
Caridad married a military man, Vicente Babao.
Gloria was married twice. She wed Mat Ranillo, Sr., a Visayan actor who later became a politician. Mat died in a plane crash with the late President Ramon Magsaysay. She then remarried fellow actor Amado Cortez, whose real name is Arsenio Padilla of the famous Padilla showbiz clan.
Gloria remains active in showbiz. She was featured in the highly admired ABS-CBN series of Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria, “Be Careful With My Heart.”
The veteran star remains strong and beautiful at 88. She refuses to compare showbiz before and now, and has also refrained from commenting about the stars of today.
“Basta ako, I love working pa rin,” she remarked with a smile.

Actress Empress Schuck, 27, is engaged to Vino Guingona, the father of her daughter Athalia.
Vino is the grandson of Teofisto Guingona, who served as the 11th vice president of the Philippines.
Empress is the niece of former beauty queen Lorraine Schuck.
Away from the showbiz scene for a while now, Empress would love to act when the pandemic is over.

“Straight comedy ako dito,” he said. “Unlike doon sa ‘Make It With You’ na medyo drama na may comedy ang role ko.”
“Make It With You,” starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, was cancelled due to the franchise renewal problem of ABS CBN.
Produced by Star Cinema, “The House Arrest of Us” has an impressive cast. It has Dennis Padilla, Hyubs Azarcon, Alora Sasam and the current “Tiktok King,” Gardo Versoza. Also featured is Ruffa Gutierrez, who will do comedy for the first time.
