Appoints OIC after leaders’ suspension
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to uninterrupted service and sound fund stewardship, following the preventive suspension of several of its officials by the Office of the Ombudsman.
In a special meeting, the GSIS Board of Trustees designated Executive Vice President for Support Services Juliet Bautista as Officer-in-Charge (OIC), “ensuring leadership continuity and operational stability across all programs and services.”
“All transactions, benefits processing, and member services remain fully operational,” the pension fund said in a statement.
Bautista, a certified public accountant, previously headed the GSIS Internal Audit Services Office and played a key role in securing ISO certifications for service quality and data protection. She holds an MBA from Ateneo de Manila University and a degree in Accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas.
The Board emphasized that safeguarding institutional integrity and protecting members’ funds remain its top priorities. Ongoing governance reforms and internal controls, it said, are in place to strengthen transparency and system resilience.
