TOPLINE Hi Tech and Synergy Corp. has inaugurated the first unified automated ticketing and fee collection system for Boracay’s main transport gateways.
Topline Hi Tech, a subsidiary of Topline Equity Corp., said the UATS will immediately start full operations on Wednesday, August 6, at the ports of Caticlan and Cagban in Malay town, Aklan.
The UATS, meanwhile, will start partial operations at Boracay’s alternate ports of Tabon and Tambisaan, in Malay, Aklan, on August 6 too, Topline said in a statement on Tuesday.
Of the P200-million total investment, some P150 million was used for the UATS’ development while P50 million was spent for the deployment of automated ticketing kiosks.
The company said the platform can process over 10,000 passengers daily at the main ports, up from the current 5,000 to 6,000 passengers under manual operations.
The company said that its project has made it more valuable by strengthening the entire Topline ecosystem.
“Our experience here enables knowledge transfer that enhances the back-end systems of our other business units, including Light Fuels, a subsidiary of Top Line Business Development Corp, the company said.
Manual ticketing operations will remain available but will be gradually scaled down, Topline said.
