PAL among SEAsia’s top 10 travel brands

The country’s flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL) placed second in the list of Top 10 Travel Brands in Southeast Asia for 2024, according to a report published by Campaign Asia-Pacific.

Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam, landed in the top spot.  Vietnam Airlines received an overall best brand score of 76.05 percent while Philippine Airlines scored 63.15 percent.

The Philippine flag carrier received top scores for buying experience, customer service and domestic brand awareness.

PAL was rated the top travel brand in the Philippines, achieving a best brand score of 63 percent, prompting Campaign Asia-Pacific to hail it as “a firm favorite among Filipino consumers.”

“We are happy and proud to be recognized as a top Southeast Asian travel brand, and we continue to explore more ways of further elevating the passenger experience all across our global network,” Alvin Miranda, PAL vice president for marketing, said in a statement.

“We laud the efforts of our Philippine Airlines employees and service partners in making this achievement possible and embodying the true Heart of the Filipino in the way they care for our passengers.”

After Vietnam Airlines and PAL came Thai Airways, Thai AirAsia, Garuda Indonesia, Korea Aerospace Industries, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Nok Air and Cebu Pacific Air.

The ranking is based on Campaign Asia-Pacific’s authoritative list of Southeast Asia’s top 50 brands, created in partnership with research firm Milieu Insight.

The firm has published reports on the top 10 brands from the surveyed markets—Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore—across 10 sectors.

The brands were evaluated using attributes such as awareness, purchase frequency, quality, buying experience, customer service, trustworthiness, innovation, brand touchpoints (ease of use across all digital and offline interactions), and advocacy (degree of recommendation).

Philippine Airlines also made it to the list of top ten most punctual airlines in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024, tracked by Cirium, a leading aviation analytics company based in London.

Ranked as the seventh most punctual airline, PAL was the only Philippine carrier to be awarded a top 10 ranking among Asia-Pacific’s “Top Airline Performers”.
