Magsaysay Shipping and Logistics (MSL) said that it is putting up an integrated crossdock and consolidation facility for its freight forwarding arm, One Stop Logistics Solutions Inc. (OLSI), inside the Visayas Container Terminal (VCT) in Iloilo.

The 6,912-square meter crossdock facility will make OLSI more accessible to clients who are shipping off goods from Manila, and will strengthen OLSI’s reach in the Panay Islands, the company said.

“With the promising venture, MSL plans to do more engagements with VCT,” it added.

Miguel Gutierrez, OLSI general manager, said the facility “fortifies capability to serve more volumes and improve further our metrics to our customers.”

“We see exciting growth in Iloilo which we want to capitalize on us a group,” he said.

“We thank VCT for this opportunity to set up shop within the terminal,” added Jesse Maxwell, chief executive officer (CEO) of MSL which is the domestic shipping and logistics arm of the Magsaysay Group.

“Its location is strategic, where we can serve domestic cargo seamlessly then possibly explore last mile deliveries for international goods as well,” he also said.

MSL through OLSI manages eight facilities located in Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Metro Manila (Malabon and Valenzuela), and Tacloban.

OLSI specializes on the industry requirements of retail, industrial goods, electronic durables, and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).
