International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) said it is adding a new mobile harbor crane to its operations in the Port of Umm Qasr, in Iraq.
The company said that its unit Basra Gateway Container Terminal (BGT) has commissioned a new Konecranes Gottwald ESP.8 mobile harbor crane that has a 125-ton lifting capacity and a 54-meter boom.
The crane can serve vessels up to post-Panamax class, further strengthening BGT’s operational capability.

BGT is the only terminal in Iraq with largest quay cranes with the ability to handle 12,000-TEU vessels.
