The planned development of the Asean Batangas Access Zone is projected to boost economic growth in various areas of Batangas.
The Asean Batangas Zone, or ABA Zone, is a 100-hectare development that will connect “superports” across the Southeast Asian Region for a more efficient flow of components and products, according to the Batangas local government unit’s website.
“It is anticipated that upon the completion of ABA Zone, the industrial clusters in the province will attract more businesses since they will also serve as channels that will help in increasing the flows of investments,” the Provincial Planning and Development Office of Batangas said.
The Smart Logistics Hub will “boost the tourism potential of the province, enhance agro-industrial development, and at the same time address social issues such as unemployment and under-employment” given it would boost Batangas’ existing infrastructure systems, the office said.
