Watsons Philippines, the leading health and beauty retailer in the country, continues its commitment to community health through its Alagang Pangkalusugan initiative. This program provides free medical services and medicine to hundreds of beneficiaries across various cities and towns.

For the first Metro Manila stop of the year, Watsons conducted a medical mission at Mandaluyong College of Science & Technology in Mandaluyong City on July 6, benefiting 923 residents from different barangays in the city.

The mission was supported by the Mandaluyong local government, city health board officials, and partner brands.

Attendees included Mandaluyong vice mayor Carmelita “Menchie” Aguilar Abalos, councilor Charisse Marie Abalos-Vargas, city health officer Dr. Arnold Abalos, and Addition Hills barangay captain Carlito Cernal.

The medical mission offered various free services such as doctor consultations, ECGs, X-rays, hearing checks, eye tests, and massages.

“We aim to bridge the gap between Filipinos and accessible medical services and affordable medicine through our Alagang Pangkalusugan medical missions across the Philippines. This is our first medical mission in Mandaluyong City this year, and we are grateful to our LGU partners and health and beauty brand partners for their continued support of Watsons’ advocacy to help Filipinos lead healthier lives,” said Sharon Decapia, Watsons senior assistant vice president for marketing, PR and sustainability.
