Sogo Cares donated about 1M in Brigada Eskwela Initiatives

Sogo Cares has successfully closed its Balik-Eskwela program this year after more than a month of supporting over 60 beneficiaries including schools, barangays, and NGOs.

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Sogo Cares has donated thousands of assorted school supplies, vitamins, cleaning materials, gardening tools, and hygiene kits aiding over 20,000 students nationwide.

“We believe that children should have access to basic needs especially basic tools that would help in their education like pencils, paper, ball pens, crayons, and other learning materials that would significantly increase their interest in their studies”, said Sue Geminiano Hotel Sogo Marketing Manager citing Sogo Cares’ annual program of assistance to NGOs, schools and communities.

Sogo Cares Balik-Eskwela program is one of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs designed to encourage and give hope to students through donations of school supplies, learning materials, and other supplies important in education to different communities, barangays, and schools nationwide.

The Department of Education (DepEd) officially kicked off the nationwide Brigada Eskwela 2022 with the theme Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral to promote collaboration and resiliency in basic education to ensure the readiness of schools for the opening of school year. Collective efforts from the government, volunteers, and different organizations are needed to ensure a safe, clean, and quality education.

Masterclass in finance

P&A Grant Thornton is collaborating with FINEX Academy in holding the Senior Leadership Program in Finance.

Considered as the Masterclass in Finance, the second offering of the program will start on November 3.

The Grant Thornton-Finex Senior Leadership in Finance Program is comprised of 12 sessions and covers six modules. Mindanao Art 2022

Shopee launches its Shopee Bayanihan: Typhoon Paeng Support initiative together with partner charity organizations.

Through the initiative, users can purchase donation vouchers from Shopee’s partner charities on the app.

These efforts are part of Shopee Bayanihan, the company’s umbrella CSR arm that seeks to provide support for communities in need through partnerships with various humanitarian organizations.

Until November 13, Shopee users can purchase the donation e-vouchers that will be used to provide victims of the typhoon with water kits, health, and sanitation stations, and other essentials such as food and clothes from partner charities UNICEF, Habitat for Humanity, Waves for Water, and GMA Kapuso Foundation. Users can access e-vouchers and purchase them via Shopee’s integrated mobile wallet, ShopeePay.
