Sun Life Philippines leaders, led by CEO and Country Head Benedict Sison, who also chairs the Sun Life Foundation, continued their annual tradition of community service through a volunteer initiative with the Tumana Eco-Warriors Organization (TEWO) in Marikina.
The collaborative effort between Sun Life Financial-Philippines Foundation, Inc. and implementing partner ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. began with executives cleaning up Tumana Linear Park, followed by a sustainable doll-making workshop. The handcrafted “Huggable Dolls” were donated to children at Concepcion Integrated School, which hosted the event.
Sun Life also provided hydration packs to TEWO to support their ongoing park maintenance efforts.
“Volunteerism is a big part of Sun Life’s culture,” said Kristine Dianne Millete, Executive Director of the Sun Life Foundation. “Our volunteer drives would not be successful without the unwavering support of our fellow Sun Lifers and our partner organizations. Together, we aim to build a brighter future for more Filipinos.”
As the philanthropic arm of the Philippines’ first and longest-standing life insurance company, Sun Life Foundation regularly organizes volunteer activities that engage hundreds of company leaders, employees, and advisors. The initiative reflects Sun Life’s commitment to community service as it celebrates its 130th anniversary.
