PAGASA officially declared Wednesday, April 16, 2025 as the start of the dry season, coinciding with peak travel and outdoor activities that put many Filipinos at risk for heat-related illnesses. Last year, the Department of Health reported 77 heat-related cases with seven deaths between January and April.
