Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU) marked its 27th anniversary on February 27 with a Filipiniana-themed celebration highlighting the institution’s role in transnational education.
SISFU Chairman Dr. Melva Diamante welcomed attendees, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to world-class education. SGEN President Dr. Jocelyn Tizon addressed the school’s pursuit of academic innovation, while Chief Executive Mentor Dr. Genevieve Laurel-Ledesma reinforced SISFU’s mission of excellence and real-world readiness.
Dean of Academics Daniel Steel highlighted the institution’s achievements, followed by a Marketing Department video presentation showcasing SISFU’s accomplishments.
De Montfort University (DMU) Associate Dean Ian Thomas discussed how DMU-SISFU graduates are prepared for the global workforce. Pearson Country Business Development Manager Mark Thomas spoke about the benefits of UK credentials through Pearson programs, emphasizing how UK-patterned curricula focus on specialization and mastery.
Commission on Higher Education Chief Education Program Specialist Victorino Datuin delivered a keynote address praising SISFU’s educational excellence and partnerships with DMU and Pearson.
The event included student performances and recognition of industry partners.
