Shopee bags awards
The recent Marketing-Interactive PR Awards in Singapore recognized Shopee for its efforts to create a lasting positive impact on both sellers and consumers across the region, with a total of 10 awards, including Overall Brand Champion and PR Team of the Year.
In the Philippines, Shopee’s Consumer Protection Campaign was awarded silver under the Best Crisis Management category.
The Marketing-Interactive PR awards recognizes the top-performing campaigns and companies in the public relations and communications industry across 42 different categories.
Created to combat the rising number of fraudulent cases by helping consumers recognize online scammers, Shopee PH’s Consumer Protection Campaign utilized Shopee’s wide-reaching social media platforms, as well as in-app features, to inform consumers on what to watch out for to keep their shopping experience safe. Shopee Philippines also partnered with third-party logistics providers to educate users on the best practices to enjoy a secure online shopping experience.
Other regional initiatives that garnered recognition include the Shopee Supports Local initiative which bagged a gold award for championing local businesses, and Shopee Vietnam’s Kindness Care Package, which was awarded a bronze award under the best CSR Communications Category.
Maynilad donates handwashing stations

West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc. donated 85 handwashing stations in 2021 to several local government units (LGUs), public schools, and COVID-19 quarantine facilities across its service area in line with continuing efforts to curb the pandemic.
Maynilad donated 31 contactless handwashing stations that were installed in public markets, health centers, and city halls as of the last quarter of 2021. The water company also provided 2,907 one-liter liquid hand soaps, 2,907 liters of disinfectant, and 76 liters of alcohol for these stations.
Maynilad donated 49 handwashing stations to public schools that serve as COVID-19 vaccination centers and installed five handwashing stations in quarantine facilities within the West Zone.
Kim Soo Hyun Officially Joins as Y.O.U Beauty Brand Ambassador
Y.O.U Beauty officially announced its collaboration with famous South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun as the newest Y.O.U Beauty Brand Ambassador as of June 1, 2022.
Kim Soo Hyun is the star of various series and films like My Love From The Star, It’s Okay Not To Be Okay and other highly acclaimed films and television shows. His outstanding work as an actor won him the Daesang (or “Grand Prize”) at the 5th Asia Artist Awards in the television category.

Young creatives
As part of its ongoing commitment to become both a world-class resort as well as a center for the arts and humanities on the island, Crimson Resort and Spa Boracay recently introduced 10 young local artists currently being nurtured under its Arts in Youth program.
Under the tutelage of Crimson Boracay’s general manager Patrick Manthe and Artist in Residence Eric Egualada, these young artists are being encouraged to make the most of their imagination and creativity to make pieces that are both visually striking and thought-provoking.
Egualada selected youngsters with advanced skills in drawing and painting. Several participants have also proven themselves about poster-making, portraiture, and simple landscape painting.

CCBPI empowers MSMEs
As part of its campaign to help uplift micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI)–the bottling arm of Coca-Cola in the country–recently inked a partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Small Business Corp. (SBCorp) for the RISE UP Tindahan Project.
The initiative gives CCBPI’s partner retail stores, dealers, distributors, and other MSMEs access to resources that can contribute to their recovery from the effects of the pandemic.
The RISE UP Tindahan Loan offers a loanable amount of up to P300,000 for micro-tindahan loans (sari-sari stores), and up to P5 million for SME loans (retail stores, dealers, and distributors), with three years repayment term inclusive of a grace period of up to 12 months and no collateral required.
Medical Depot, Union Bank partnership

SAFEwash Movement

Procter & Gamble’s Safeguard, Manila Water Foundation, and the DepEd School District representatives gathered last May in Microtel by Wyndham Hotel in Quezon City to take the SAFEwash Movement to new heights. Present in the turnover event were Jeune San Juan from P&G Safeguard, the Manila Water Foundation representatives led by Reginald Andal, and DepEd school division heads from the 17 partner locations.
The event is Safeguard and Manila Water Foundation’s way of further strengthening the SAFEwash Movement’s goal — to protect the future of the Philippines by protecting the teachers who hone it. On top of donating for pilot face-to-face classes, Safeguard Philippines donated PHP 5million more worth of hand soaps and sanitizers to partner schools.
