The Shop Taytay Bazaar concluded its three-day run at SM Megamall’s Megatrade Hall 1 from September 12 to 14, showcasing over a hundred booths of Taytay-made products, with Gold Fortune Textile (GFT) as the major sponsor and planning partner.
Organized by Shop Taytay in collaboration with DTI Rizal and SMX Convention Center, the 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily event highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit of Taytay’s fabric and garment community, featuring textile fabrics, sewing equipment, local apparel brands, bags, shoes, fashion accessories, home care products, and authentic local delicacies.
“Our goal extends beyond earning profits — we also want to help small businesses in Taytay, especially tiangge owners, gain recognition and attract more customers with their unique products,” says GFT CEO Enrico Sy.
The bazaar served as a platform for small and medium entrepreneurs to reach broader audiences while celebrating Taytay’s renowned craftsmanship. GFT showcased high-quality Eyelet, Challis-Rayon, and Brocade fabrics among featured products.
“Supporting the Shop Taytay event directly aligns with GFT’s vision and mission by expanding our presence as a leading provider of textiles and garments,” Sy adds. “By helping entrepreneurs showcase their products, we make quality garments more accessible to a broader audience, which is a key part of our mission.”
Beyond commerce, the event fostered collaboration among local businesses, encouraging new partnerships and innovations within Taytay’s vibrant textile and apparel industry. Live demonstrations and special offers provided visitors with an immersive experience showcasing the dedication and skill behind each product.
“To ensure excellence, we prioritize using GFT fabrics in our production, maintaining high-quality standards while enhancing the style of Taytay-made garments,” states Sy, who also chairs GFT Foundation.
