Avon gifts Grab drivers’ wives the power to earn & learn this Christmas

Avon, a pioneer in championing women’s causes for over 135 years, released The Global Progress for Women Report earlier this year, revealing that 90% of Filipina women aspire to increase their income. However, entrepreneurship barriers impact them significantly, with 52% citing lack of confidence and 79% identifying inadequate financial resources as obstacles to starting a business.

In line with its commitment to women’s financial independence, Avon spotlights unsung heroes during the holiday season–delivery riders. On November 26, Avon partnered with Grab for the Buwan ng Tagapaghatid celebration offering a three-part financial independence upskilling program to 3,000 attendees, specifically targeting Grab drivers’ wives, female riders and family members.

This yuletide season, Avon invites everyone to not just gift with love but instead, gift with power. By simply choosing a gift from Avon–from skincare sets, fragrance coffrets, and vibrant makeup collection–every sale supports women all over the world. And by joining Avon as a Representative, you’re able to gift yourself the power to be financially independent. Either choice you make is a winning one.

Inventory financing service aims to boost sari-sari stores in time for holidays

Packworks, a Filipino startup offering a business-to-business (B2B) FMCG marketplace for sari-sari stores, is partnering with 1Sari Financing Corporation to provide access to secure, reliable, and affordable inventory financing services to more than 270,000 unbanked sari-sari stores across the Philippines.

Under the partnership, sari-sari stores will be able to access a starting credit line amount of P2500 through 1Sari’s inventory financing product, which will be available as an in-app service for Packworks’ partner stores. Sari-sari stores can use the credit to purchase goods and bolster their inventory, ensuring they’re well-stocked and ready for customer demands.

There will also be a prompt payment rebate scheme to promote good paying habits for borrowers. Stores can get a rebate of as much as 75 pesos if they pay their dues on time and in full, which they can use for their next availment of inventory financing.
