Sapphire Beauty & Wellness (SB&W), a company committed to providing high-quality beauty and wellness products to the Philippine market, officially launched two South Korean skincare brands, Désembre and Dermagarden, at the Hilton Grand Ballroom in Newport City.
Désembre and Dermagarden are produced by Hyunjin C&T, a premier manufacturer with over 25 years of experience in the competitive South Korean skincare and cosmetics industry. Unlike other brands that rely on OEM manufacturers, Hyunjin C&T develops and manufactures its own products.
Founded by the husband-and-wife team Ricky and Mary Ann Palad, SB&W has been exploring the beauty and wellness industry for over a decade. “We finally found Hyunjin C&T in South Korea, a company that shares our values and commitment. We are both dedicated to putting a smile on everyone who uses our products,” said Ricky Palad, SB&W chairman and chief executive officer.
The launch, hosted by media personality and celebrity influencer Regine Tolentino, showcased Désembre, a line of treatment products for skincare salons and clinics, and Dermagarden, a range of personal skincare products.
Ricky and Mary Ann, established entrepreneurs in the information technology industry, have a personal interest in the beauty and wellness sector.
“After the pandemic, we noticed a growing emphasis on body care and wellness. People who previously ignored their skin problems began seeking help. At SB&W, we want to be that friend and confidant. We believe the journey to self-love begins from within, and we want to guide people on this journey,” Ricky explained.
“It took us time to find and launch the right skincare products because we wanted to test them ourselves first,” he added.
“SB&W aims to be a premier Filipino lifestyle brand by distributing world-class products that are safe, functional, fashionable, trendy, and cost-effective,” said SB&W chief operating officer Mary Ann Palad.
“The biggest advantage of Hyunjin C&T is our ability to develop new raw materials and technologies faster than other companies. For example, we were the first in Korea to introduce hemp seed oil products, currently among the hottest ingredients in skincare. We also introduced products containing snail and mayu (horse oil) before anyone else in Korea,” said Hyunjin C&T chairman Jung Sung-han.
