RCBC ATM Go, RCBC’s top mobile ATM solution, saw a remarkable 76 percent year-on-year growth in 2023, playing a key role in financial inclusion. It disbursed over 13 perfecent of the P41 billion cash grants to 4Ps beneficiaries and facilitates payroll withdrawals for various government employees.
RCBC ATM Go, the Philippines’ first community ATM, recorded a substantial growth of 112 percent in transactions, 104 percent in transaction value, and a 731 percent increase in new terminal deployments compared to 2022. With 6,000 terminals covering all 82 provinces, it serves underserved areas like Lake Sebu, Turtle Island, Cullon, Coron, and Busuanga. RCBC prioritizes geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, distinguishing itself as the sole private bank covering all provinces in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Eugene Acevedo, president and chief executive officer of RCBC, highlighted the significant success of RCBC ATM Go, attributing it to the bank’s effective approach in serving financially excluded Filipinos.
Acevedo expressed the bank’s commitment to supporting government initiatives for the betterment of Filipino lives and enhancing financial inclusion.
Lito Villanueva, executive vice president and chief innovations and inclusion officer at RCBC, emphasized the importance of digitizing traditional banking, making services more relevant to Filipinos’ aspirations.
Villanueva noted that with digital solutions in underserved areas, more Filipinos gain access to empowering solutions, contributing to a progressive and prosperous digital future for all.
This year, the country’s fifth-largest bank, RCBC, is dedicated to continuing its mission of assisting Filipinos by improving access to loans and credit through its RCBC ATM Go network.
Recognizing the existing challenges for Filipinos in accessing loan services, RCBC aims to bridge the gap by enhancing RCBC ATM Go and other digital solutions.
The bank is optimistic that these developments will ensure equal access to financial services for underserved communities, rural areas, remote locations, and MSMEs, similar to those available in major urban areas.
