Quest Plus Clark is Sports Tourism Awards Hotel of the Year

Quest Plus Conference Center, Clark was one of the big winners at the 5th Sports Tourism Awards last December 6. 

For delivering top class hospitality service to hundreds of basketball game officials, players and trainers during the PBA and FIBA Asian Cup Qualifiers in 2020 to 2021 and for being the first and only hotel to mount successful sports bubbles in the country, Quest Plus Clark was cited as the 2021 Philippine Sports Tourism Hotel of the Year. 

The Sports Tourism Awards are given to outstanding contributors to the fast-growing sports tourism in the country and their efforts in sustaining local and international events despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 to 2021. 

Other awardees are the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup as the Tournament of the Year, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas as Association of the Year, Clark Freeport as the Destination of The Year, and Cebu Pacific Air as the Airline of the Year.

Insular Life (InLife) has been selected as the 2nd runner up in the Community Engagement and Partnerships category at the recently held 2022 Regional Asia-Pacific Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Awards.

PLDT, Smart haul awards nominations

PLDT Inc. and Smart Communications Inc. were recognized anew at the 2022 Asia Communication Awards (ACA), the annual recognition program for outstanding telco players organized by London-based industry publication Total Telecom.

The group hauled four major citations, including prestigious nominations for Operator of the Year and CEO of the Year. The group was also shortlisted under the Crisis Response and Social Contribution categories.

PLDT and Smart’s Operator of the Year bid highlights the group’s stellar performance in 2021.

“Rising from Rai,” the group’s comprehensive disaster response, relief, and recovery program in the aftermath of Typhoon Odette was nominated under ACA’s Best Crisis Response category. 

“Better Today,”PLDT and Smart’s stakeholder management program geared towards promoting safety and wellness within communities, was nominated for the Social Contribution Award.

Home Credit bags nominations 

Home Credit Philippines bagged several nominations at the second annual edition of the Marketing Excellence Awards held last December 1 at New Coast Hotel, Manila.

Home Credit was recognized as Finalist under three major categories: Excellence in Integrated Marketing and Excellence in Brand Awareness for its Para sa Life campaign and Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility for its Payo Para sa Life campaign.

APRI renews IMS certifications

AP Renewables Inc. (APRI), a subsidiary of energy company Aboitiz Power Corp., recently passed its surveillance audit for the Integrated Management System (IMS), recording zero non-conformities by auditors for the sixth year in a row. 

APRI received new certificates that cover systems on quality management (ISO 9001:2015), environmental management (ISO 14001:2015), and occupational health and safety management (ISO 45001:2018). 

These were issued after TíœV Rheinland Philippines’ simultaneous audit from October 17 to 18 across APRI’s geothermal power plant sites in Tiwi and MakBan, plus its corporate office in Taguig.

UnionBank techs up with Globe
