The Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) officially opened its 60th Anniversary celebration and launched its upcoming 50th National Convention through a press conference held July 18 at Limbaga 77, Quezon City. The event, hosted and sponsored by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), reflected PSTD’s continued commitment to empowering people and organizations through future-ready learning.

For professionals navigating today’s fast-changing landscape, PSTD’s message is timely: learning and development is no longer a support function—it’s vital strategy. As companies seek to upskill and adapt, the need for credible, connected learning networks has never been greater.

PSTD has been that network for 60 years, consistently elevating professional development standards in the Philippines.

“This milestone is not just about looking back—it’s about inviting more professionals to look forward with us,” said PSTD President Rinah Rivero, Senior Manager at PwC. “With regional chapters growing and new partnerships forming, we are creating more spaces where learning becomes practical, inclusive, and empowering.”

The 50th National Convention, happening August 27-29, 2025 in Cebu City, is themed “ABLAZE: Illuminating Talent Development Pathways.” The convention will feature keynotes, skill-building workshops, and peer exchange sessions covering leadership, digital capability, mentoring, culture-building, and the future of workplace learning. Attendees can expect practical insights and immediately applicable tools.

Louie Banta, PSTD Board Trustee and CEO of LJMB Consulting, emphasized PSTD’s impact: “Our members are not just learners—they’re multipliers. They create ripples of growth wherever they work, and that’s the real impact of what we do.”

PSTD’s partnership with IACET adds global alignment. IACET Commissioner and Global Liaison Rowell Vitor Mariano (Founder and CEO of Rowell Signatures) noted, “We see PSTD as a strategic partner in advancing quality learning across the region and in fulfilling our vision of a world that learns better.”

As PSTD turns 60, it extends an invitation to engage, sharpen skills, deepen influence, and connect with a learning community that continues to grow with purpose.
