The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is set to hold its three-day financial literacy initiative, PSE Investment Expo 2023, this Thursday, March 9.
The event aims to promote awareness on investing in legitimate financial instruments.
“Financial literacy activities are very much needed at this time when potential and new investors fall prey to get-rich-quick schemes and are easily swayed by herd mentality in investing. We hope that the lineup of activities during the Investment Expo will equip the attendees with proper investing know-how and strategies,” said Ramon Monzon, PSE president.
The event will kick-off with a discussion on the 2023 economic and market outlook, of which Monzon will form part of the panel.
The panelists will also include Lee Longa, AIA Philippines chief investment officer; Juanis Barredo, COL Financial Group Inc. chief customer experience officer; and Jojo Gonzales, Philippine Equity Partners Inc. managing director.
On Friday, March 10, the expo will feature webinar sessions from expo event partners, the PSE said.
Among the topics for the three-day forum include: “How to Achieve Your Financial Goal through Life”; “Stock Market 101: The Beginner’s Guide in Entering the Stock Market”; “Tools of the Trade You Wish You Knew Earlier”; and “Choosing the Right Stocks Tailored for You,” the PSE said.
“A personal finance game, PSE CSS Battle of the Bulls Quiz Bee and closing ceremony are the activities lined up on Saturday, March 11,” it also said.
