Post Office, AAP Art competition to benefit Malabon Zoo
The Philippine Postal Corporation (Post Office), Art Association of the Philippines Inc. (AAP) and Malabon Zoo signed a Tripartite Memorandum of Agreement to benefit Malabon Zoo whichis in need of support and sustenance following its closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic health restrictions.
The Post Office and AAP has organized the Art competition to promote the creative expression of the Filipinos and develop their artistic accomplishments at its highest level.
Ten (10%) percent of the event’s proceeds shall be donated to Malabon Zoo to help bring some relief to the animals.
Manny Tangco, President/Founder of the Malabon Zoo, Aquarium and Botanical Garden or commonly known as Malabon Zoo, welcomed this move by the Post Office and AAP to help in maintaining the Zoo which has become famous for its wild animals, who were named after celebrities, actors, politicians and other personalities.
The Post Office and AAP announced that artists are still invited to submit their best representational art to the open theme competition. Any subject or artistic expression is welcome.

Entry forms are also available online via its social media page. All interested applicants must be mindful of the mechanics, rules, and regulations governing the competition.
Participant’s artwork will be displayed at the iconic Manila Central Post Office. The Art exhibit shall be open to the public.
Entries should be submitted on Nov. 19, 2021, Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Manila Central Post Office in Liwasang Bonifacio. The scheduled date for the awarding of winners shall be announced on November 19.

TOYM launches Heroes Unmasked
The Ten Outstanding Young Men launched the Heroes Unmasked campaign that benefits the Panatag na Kanlungan Project of PGH, which provides assistance for medical frontliners and volunteers.
The endeavor is highlighted by an original song composition and music video created through the collaborative efforts of iconic musical artists Ryan Cayabyab, Lea Salonga, and Gary Valenciano.
Heroes is inspired by and dedicated to the medical frontliners who put their lives on the line daily to heal, care for, and alleviate the sufferings of fellow Filipinos.
This coming holiday season, the campaign presents many ways to support the cause.

Globe hauls 3 wins at International Business Awards
Globe took home three awards at the recently held 18th Annual International Business Awards.

Marriott Business Council Philippines takes part in the global movement to minimize food waste with the launch of Care Candies available for sale and as guest room amenity on the following participating Marriott properties: Manila Marriott, Clark Marriott, Sheraton Manila Bay, Sheraton Manila, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo.
Care Candies are made of candied watermelon rinds compactly packaged on a rose gold tin can. It is available in five distinct flavors that are exclusive to each property.
Guests may take home a pack for only P150 or enjoy it as an amenity when staying at any of the participating properties. In addition to its environmental objective, proceeds from the sale of the Care Candies shall be directed to raise funds to support the Save the Children Foundation.

Maynilad data loggers
Maynilad Water Services Inc. spent P23 million this year for the installation of 611 data loggers over 1,594 kilometers of pipeline to strengthen capacity to remotely monitor water flow and pressure in the network.
Maynilad said data loggers are instruments to digitally measure the flow and pressure of water inside the pipe and transmit information for analysis to a central database.
The increase in the deployment of the said equipment would enable better response time to pressure drops that could indicate supply distribution problems that may affect more than 9.8 million customers.
Maynilad now has 2,500 data loggers installed in various points throughout its concession area.

CFO of the Year
PLDT Inc.’s Anabelle Lim Chua was awarded the 2021 ING-Finex CFO of the Year in the 15th edition of the longest-running and most prestigious award program for finance chief officers.
The search looks at four major qualities of CFOs–as a strategist, catalyst, steward and operator.
Now in her 23rd year with PLDT, Chua serves as the company’s senior vice president, chief finance officer and chief risk management officer.
She is also a director of Meralco, another listed company in the MVP group, chairing its Board Finance Committee. She is alsoa director of the Philippine Stock Exchange, representing the issuers sector.

Aboitiz Construction donates 3K vaccine doses
Aboitiz Construction, Inc., in partnership with Aboitiz Foundation Inc., formally donated 1,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to the City Government of Parañaque last November 8.
Aboitiz Construction, through the help of Aboitiz Foundation, has been active in helping ensure the health and safety of its host communities. Recently, the company donated 2,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to the municipality of Balamban in Cebu and to the provincial government of Surigao del Norte.

ID registration at Farmers Plaza
Araneta City partnered with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in setting up an additional and more accessible Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration site in Metro Manila.
A memorandum of agreement was signed by officials of Araneta Group and PSA in a virtual event on November 16.
PhilSys registration site at the fourth floor of Farmers Plaza will operate between November 17 and December 31 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
