PLDT and Smart were shortlisted in three categories at the upcoming World Communication Awards, underscoring the group’s significant strides in driving digital transformation.
The companies are in the running for Best Operator in a Growth Market, a category that highlights the critical role of PLDT and Smart in expanding digital services across the Philippines; the Beyond Connectivity Award category for its Building Filipino #MSMEmpowered and #FarmSmart Communities through Technology initiative and; the Social Contribution Award category where PLDT and Smart’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Advocacy through Technology (IDEATe) program has been recognized for its work in promoting digital inclusion.
Now on its 26th year, the World Communication Awards, which celebrate excellence in the global telecommunications industry, will take place on December 10 in London.
