Creating a greater future
Globe’s enterprise arm inspires leaders across all industries to embrace radical compassion in building their businesses. This means going beyond profit and looking at environmental, social, and governance (ESG) integration to save the planet and help improve people’s lives.
This year’s Leadership Innovation Forum (Lead-In) of Globe Business focused on the theme “Bigger Picture, Greater Future: Redefining Success Beyond Business” to share valuable insights that can help corporations re-evaluate their purpose and direction.
During his welcome remarks, Globe president and CEO Ernest Cu said the post-pandemic world comes with a significant paradigm shift dubbed The Great Reset. The impact of COVID-19 put things into perspective, and initiatives are now being taken towards economic, social, and environmental sustainability.
“We are challenging every philosophy of business as we realize that profit isn’t the end goal… It is the bigger picture for the greater future,” Cu said.
Cu shared that environmental sustainability, social equality, inclusivity and diversity, corporate integrity, and responsible governance are the newly-added metrics for success. And the opportunities offered by digital–whether from tech-driven innovations, company culture, human resources, to the data collected for consumer inciting — are integral in achieving the new metrics.
