Safety milestone
Tarlac Meatmasters, the triple A-accredited meat cutting facility of Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corp. in Bamban, Tarlac, achieved a safety milestone.
The facility reached over 1 million safe-man hours without any lost time, injury or accident from September 2020 to March 2022.
To prevent the entry of illnesses such as COVID-19, regular temperature checks are done before entering the facility, social distancing is practiced, and constant disinfection is done throughout the site. Team members go through rigorous handwashing and sanitation and wear complete protective gear on-site to ensure their safety.
This milestone reveals the Tarlac Meatmasters team practices all safety protocols and strictly follows health standards, especially at a time when diseases are widespread in both animals and people.
Jollibee opens in DTLA
Jollibee Foods Corp. said it has opened its newest Jollibee branch in the US, this time in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA).
The DTLA is at a prime location at 729 7th Street in the heart of the city’s Financial District, on the corner of 7th & Flower Street across from the Bloc, a prominent shopping destination for residents, office workers, and visitors. It is the first in Downtown Los Angeles and marks the brand’s 57th store in the US, joining the brand’s two other restaurants in the Metro Los Angeles area on Beverly Blvd. (East Hollywood) and Colorado Blvd. (Eagle Rock).
The company is set to open a second location in West Covina, California, by second semester of the year.
QualiMed- Iloilo newest IPU
The Iloilo Fertility and Reproductive Care Center is one of the newest integrated practice units (IPU) being established across the QualiMed Health Network.
AC Health, a subsidiary of Ayala Corp., through its QualiMed Hospital — Iloilo facility recently shared its plans for its In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Center and Integrated Practice Unit (IPU).
In accordance with the concept of a patient-centered IPU, the services to be offered at the Iloilo Fertility and Reproductive Care Center (IFER) is organized around the patient’s primary problem of infertility and providing the full cycle of care for the patient’s medical condition.
The presentation on the IVF IPU was made during the recent MDXperience Roadshow that kicked off last May 26 at QualiMed Hospital in Atria Park, Iloilo City. SSS, RCBC turns over new motorcycle to Handog na Motorsiklo Ngayong Pasko winner
The Social Security System (SSS) and the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) awarded a brand-new motorcycle yesterday to the winner of RCBC’s Handog na Motorsiklo Ngayong Pasko Promo held at the 2/F, Ramon Magsaysay Hall, SSS Building, East Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.

Under the promo, SSS members who registered their DiskarTech accounts on the Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM) and received their loans and benefits from SSS will automatically get one raffle entry. The promo period ran from November 10 until December 10, 2021.
Flancia is a resident of Lucena, Quezon, who opened a DiskarTech account and nominated it as his disbursement account when he filed his retirement claim last year.
DiskarTech is a mobile app launched by RCBC in July 2020 to provide an online facility for SSS members to get their benefits and loan proceeds. It requires no initial deposit, maintaining balance, and dormancy fees.
Regino thanked RCBC for the initiative saying, “the digital platform is a convenient way for members to get their benefits and loan proceeds.”

EastWest top management changes
Gotianun-led EastWest (EW) announced top management changes as long-time CEO Antonio Moncupa Jr. steps down on Dec. 31. Moncupa, who had been the bank’s CEO for the last 16 years, will remain as vice chairman of the board.
Jerry Ngo, a seasoned international banker, will assume the role of CEO on Jan. 1, 2023. He is currently serving as strategy consultant for Filinvest Development Corp., the Gotianun-led conglomerate and parent of East West Banking Corp.
EastWest also announced the appointment of Jacqueline Fernandez as president effective July 1. Fernandez is currently the bank’s senior executive vice president and chief lending officer.
Ngo brings to EastWest his 30 years of banking and finance experience.
Fernandez is a banking veteran in the lending business. She was a key figure in steering EW to become a major force in consumer lending for the past 16 years.
