The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community service through three major outreach initiatives conducted between June 18-20, 2025, benefiting over 1,700 residents across Quezon City and Nueva Ecija.
Comprehensive health services in North Fairview
On June 18, PCSO Director Imelda Papin led the distribution of 500 ChariTimba food packs to senior citizens in North Fairview, Quezon City. The event featured integrated health services, with the PCSO Medical Services Department, under Dr. Rouel Aparato and Dr. Rosendo Papin, providing free consultations and medications to 230 residents. Additionally, the Ideal Vision Center, headed by Dr. Evelyn Dalida, partnered with PCSO to distribute 200 free eyeglasses to individuals in need.
Disaster preparedness support in Quezon, Nueva Ecija

Two days later, Director Janet De Leon Mercado spearheaded a disaster preparedness initiative in Quezon, Nueva Ecija, donating essential rescue equipment to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. The donation included trauma bags, oxygen tanks, handheld radios, searchlights, rescue helmets, life jackets, ropes, stretchers, and medical devices—critical resources for a municipality frequently affected by typhoons and flooding.
Mayor Mariano “Boyet” Joson expressed gratitude for the equipment, emphasizing its crucial role in protecting residents and ensuring efficient emergency response.
Food security in Aliaga

The same day, PCSO distributed 1,000 ChariTimba food packs to senior citizens and residents of Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, at the RHU Sto. Rosario Gymnasium. Director Mercado and Vice Mayor Aurora Moreno, alongside Sangguniang Bayan members, facilitated the distribution ceremony.
These initiatives align with PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program and support President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to strengthen national healthcare and community resilience. The agency continues expanding its reach beyond traditional beneficiaries to include disaster-prone communities, demonstrating comprehensive support for Filipino welfare during both routine and crisis situations.
