The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) proudly participated in the 2025 Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations Athletic Association (GAA) Table Tennis Tournament, which officially opened on August 29, 2025, at the Social Security System (SSS) Main Office in Quezon City.
The tournament, which fosters sportsmanship, camaraderie, and employee wellness, features athletes from various government agencies. PCSO fielded a full roster of delegates for both the male and female divisions.
Male Division: Atty. Lauro Patiag, Engr. Mark Angelo Gonzales, Jason Javier, Ernesto Santana, Alexander Suarez, Gerard Oquendo, Kevin Jaide Cruz, and Ericson Delos Reyes.
Female Division: Dr. Catherine Magno, Gerlie Nohay, Minette Fernandez, Narissa Balangue, Bethzaida Leonido, Veronica Soriano, and Alexandra Garcia.
The opening ceremony included remarks from SSS and GAAI officials, highlighting the event’s role in promoting inter-agency unity. PCSO’s involvement underscores its commitment to employee welfare and holistic development. By encouraging participation in sports, the agency promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and self-discipline among its workforce.
Other participating GOCCs include the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), the Social Security System (SSS), and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
The GAA Table Tennis Tournament serves as a platform for competition and a meaningful venue for building connections through sports.
