J&J for TB prevention and cure
Johnson & Johnson (Philippines), Inc. (J&J Philippines) and the Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc. (PTSI) are rolling out their joint priority project in 2022, a campaign to find the “missing millions” affected by tuberculosis (TB) among the country’s youth and help them improve their lung health with the right treatment.
J&J Philippines and PTSI’s joint initiative, dubbed “Youth Community Case Finding,” will engage young Filipinos, 15 to 24 years old, in the country’s highest-risk communities for TB and build advocates for TB awareness among them.
“By increasing our efforts to reach out to possible TB patients, we hope to finally bring to light the real picture of the TB situation here in the Philippines–and get them the help that they need,” said Dr. Erwin Benedicto, head of Medical Affairs of J&J Philippines.
CEB urges use of travel fund before expiry

MPIF backs 1st Ph Cycling Festival
Metro Pacific Investments Foundation Inc. (MPIF strengthens its Puhunang Pangkabuhayan program for alternative livelihood through a beneficiary partnership with the organizers of the 1st Philippine Cycling Festival.
In partnership with Neo Zigma Cycle Corp. and Interval Gear Events Management (IGEM), MPIF will receive part of the proceeds for its Puhunang Pangkabuhayan program. Twenty percent of the generated cash sponsorship, registration fees, and ticket fees for the expo will go towards purchasing bikes to be donated to beneficiaries selected by MPIF. The Foundation continues its support for out-of-work individuals and income-generating people’s organizations by providing tools for sustainable alternative livelihood.
“Our programs to aid our countrymen amid our current situation have transcended from humanitarian missions to prioritize recovery, rehabilitation, and resurgence,” said MPIF President Melody del Rosario. “Through our Puhunang Pangkabuhayan program, we aim to invest in small businesses and kickstart local economies — a feat that we will continue to achieve through this partnership with IGEM and Neo Zigma.”
